Située dans le vieux quartier historique de Richmond, cette ancienne pharmacie a servi les habitants pendant plus de 80 ans, entre le XIXe et le XXe siècle. Cent trente ans plus tard, ce bâtiment assure un service de quartier à la communauté de Richmond avec un restaurant haut de gamme, mais abordable : le Tarrant's Café.

The food was good, but the service was not on par to what we are used to. In our waitress’s defense, she seemed to have too many tables to wait on. Unfortunately though, we were disappointed in having to wait a bit too long for our drinks. We were also disappointed to find out they were out of a few items that we had planned to order. Because we have been to this restaurant a number of times when the food and service were much better, we will probably return in the future. I wouldn’t want to base our decision whether to return or not on this evening’s experience.

We al enjoyed being able to walk to dinner after seeing the Nutcracker. Service was great! We enjoyed our dinner - a few things we had we might choose something diff weren’t next time (the she crab soup was heavy on sherry taste, the fish tacos needed something a little extra - maybe some mango slaw? Or something to add some crunch) the Philly cheesesteak, mozzarella sticks and Bianca pizza all got a thumbs up and we all loved the garlic bread appetizer - especially since not many restaurants offer bread as a free app anymore!

Sadly our family holiday brunch at Tarrant’s was awful. Our food was cold and tasteless- all of it. Our waiter rarely appeared. We had empty water glasses for 20 minutes. We will not be back.

We are regulars at Tarrants and usually love it. Tonight was an off night. Our table was squeezed into a very tight space. Uncomfortable. Waited 10 minutes after being seated before a server came. Waited another 10 minutes then for our drinks. Bread didn't come until our food arrived. Never refilled water or asked if we wanted another drink. This is VERY different than our usual experience. It was busy but still unacceptable. If this had been our first time we would not be back.

We had a great waiter,Josh. Food was delivered timely. Only issue we had was a very long delay in getting dessert,have no idea what the issue was. 30 minutes. Will definitely come back again.

The menu changed drastically! However, the she crab soup was very clumpy. The bun was larger than the crabcake for my sandwich. I will not be back!

The food was excellent. I did not take a photo of our order before we ate it but it was all delicious. My husband had the mahi mahi tacos and I had the Rueben sandwich, both excellent. He also had the She Crabby soup which was so good we bought some to go. If you’re in the Richmond area, just go and enjoy.

Table for 10 after Legendary Santa. We had a great experience. Service was top notch, food was great and atmosphere was ideal. Definitely becoming part of our tradition.
