Cent trente ans plus tard, ce bâtiment assure un service de quartier à la communauté de Richmond avec un restaurant haut de gamme, mais abordable : le Tarrant's Café.

Very sad to write this review as I love Tarrant’s and have frequented it many times for personal and professional dining. We booked a table for 7 for my sister’s birthday. The server had a great attitude and I was excited to have a great experience. Well it went downhill from there. We ordered a quick kids meal and drinks. Drinks came - missing one. Waited. Waited some more. Never could get him to come back and check on us. 45 minutes later we finally get the beer. Still no kids meal. He plops some cinnamon pastry on the table, no apology, and we asked where everything was. He fessed up that it was him and not the kitchen (bear in mind they were not busy). Finally food came out and we were missing a meal. The server just couldn’t get it together and rarely checked on us. If you KNOW it’s on you that it was a mess, wouldn’t you try extra hard to recover? It made the meal unnecessarily stressful and it was entirely waitstaff. He promised my sister a dessert that never came after the bill was settled. Definitely don’t rely on them for a good experience which is too bad because the food is awesome.

Friendly service, tasty cocktails, albeit a little pricey, average food. Came in for Sunday dinner and it was not very full Extensive menu but not as veg friendly as other spots in town. Might go back to try the pizza.

A fun piece of history turned into a cozy neighborhood bar/eatery. Cheerful service, inventive bar drinks. Relaxed, moderately priced. Recommend!

Food was great as always but they REALLY need to add a weekly (or even a monthly) dusting in the nooks and crannies of the dining booths. Ate lunch there and found the layers of dust in the booths to be unappetizing. Fantastic enthusiastic service. I understand that Tarrants is an old building but dust is not what I want to look at while I’m eating.

Waitress was great, kitchen was quick. Food was okay but not amazing. Waited 15 minutes to be sat even with a reservation. When we approached the computer again to ask about our reservation we get rudely told by a waitress that other people have reservations too.

The corn beef on my reuben sandwich was so tough and chewy it almost choked me. I could not even eat it. We waited too long for our bill and the waiter checked all the "GOOD" buttons before I had a chance to reply. I'll never go back

We come regularly to have dinner prior to the Altria shows - we love it - food is always good - we brought friends with us this time and did not have our dinner until 7 which meant we had to box and take with us to make show on time - we arrived at 5:30 - our server was kind - food was good - however the time it took to get our food was not acceptable and made a bad impression on our friends
