Tarantelli’s is located on Second Street, just one block from Front Street and in walking distance to the Cape Fear River. The restaurant and event venue is located in the historic district of downtown Wilmington. This lively area spans 230-plus blocks and is home to some of the best bars, restaurants, churches, architecture, and selection of fine art. There are several parking facilities nearby, but you can also reach Tarantelli's year round via horse drawn trolley and carriage, river taxi, trolley cars, or on foot.

The inspiration behind this restaurant was drawn from our grandfather, Anthony "Tony" Salvatore Tarantelli ("Papa") and our grandmother Mabel Tarantelli. Both Tony and Mabel believed that home cooked food brought family together. Our Papa's love for Italian food came from his father, Salvatore Tarantelli, who was born in the Abruzzo region of Italy in the province of L’Aquila. It is here that Tony began to appreciate Italian cuisine at its purest. Both Tony and Mabel were amazing cooks and deserve the credit for passing on many of our family recipes that we now have the pleasure and privilege to share with you.

Everything was great. Except there was hardly any air conditioning, That made it a little difficult, since it was very hot. The food was excellent.

The meal and homemade pasta are delicious. You won’t leave without a full and satisfied belly. Be sure to check out the tiramisu and olive oil cake for dessert. Worth every calorie.

Food was excellent. Waiter was very good. Room seemed to get a bit smoky which the waiter told us was coming from the kitchen. AC seemed to be a problem toward the end of the evening. Heard that they were having AC problems when we got home. But really a nice restaurant and bar. Just seems that it needs a few tweaks.

Absolutely amazing experience. We had the Wagyu Bruschetta, and shared a Spaghetti al Formaggio Parmigiana. My girlfriend absolute loved it. They bring a giant cheese wheel to your table and toss your pasta in it. How cool is that? The entire experience was immaculate!

We sat in the bar area at a high top. Food was excellent and plentiful. Pricey, but for the portions served, worth it. Service was excellent, our waiter, Tyler, was attentive and friendly. Answered questions without a hint of impatience. Ambience was good. Did not feel rushed at all. Overall, a very pleasurable dining experience.

My wife and I had another great meal at Tarantellis. Superbly prepared tuna and skirt steak dishes. Loved the traditional aroncini served that night. Then of course their take on zeppoli is unique and addictive.

My wife and I dined there for the first time, our meals were delicious, service was spot on, the staff was polite and cordial. We enjoyed ourselves. We hope to come back soon...
