A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Tapas, & Friends. Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia’s first Sherry Bar in Sydney, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'.

    Celebrate the biggest night of the year at Bar Tapavino. Order anything you like off the menu and enjoy the evening as we ring in the 9pm fireworks and count down to midnight's big bang. We open 5.00pm and there will be two sittings on NYE. Minimum spend $105 pp Children under 10 $55 pp Early bookings must vacate the restaurant at 8.00pm 2nd Sitting starts at 8:15pm, last drinks at 10.30pm Tables of 8 people and over must go on the Christmas Function menu along with terms & conditions. 10% Service charge is applied to the total bill for all patrons on the evening of 31st December 2024 All Cancellations less than 48 hours will be charged $105pp

    Tapas were terrific. Large selection, tasty and well presented. Bar offerings plentiful. Well priced. Service friendly and timely. My only criticism is my favorite dish, Patatas Bravas arrived without a bit of crispy. For me a must! Flavor was great, but the texture was disappointing. I’d try again for certain. Cheers!

    We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Charming small cozy restaurant right next door to the Marriott where we were staying. I so enjoyed my red sangria I had 2. The cows milk with lavender honey, walnuts and bread was our favorite 🤩. The chicken skewer and slider were also very good. And a neighboring table insisted on letting us try her potatoes - kind of huge but also very good. And créma catalan with a gift small glass of really tasty port. Highly recommend

    Had a great experience tonight. Food was delectable but the highlight was the service we got from Marco: he was attentive and ensured we had a great time. A+

    The restaurant location is close to public transport in a quiet side street. The food was very good and the service too. Although when my friend asked for a Pinot Gris she was told it was a Spanish restaurant! And when she asked for a doggy bag at the end of our meal the same waiter asked "For what exactly?" The overwhelming impression of Tapavino however was the intolerable noise level. If we hadn't all made a considerable effort to meet there from various parts of Sydney we might not have stayed. I could only hear and be understood by the friend sitting next to me. Our friends across the table tried shouting and sign language but it was impossible. So we enjoyed the food and wine and left. We were offered the option of sitting outside in the lane however the cold wind knocked out that idea. I don't think we'll be back.

    We stumbled upon this restaurant wandering around Sydney. The absolute best find ever. The food was exceptional, the staff fabulously attentive and the wine fantastic. We enjoyed it so much we booked again for the Saturday night. Our new favourite restaurant in Sydney.

    If I could give more stars I would, this place was fantastic, the food, service atmosphere, 15/10 for me, I will be back and would recommend this place to anyone!

    inside was crazy noisy and packed so the outside table was perfect, food excellent and waiters knowledge also top drawer. can,t wait until i go back again, real authentic tapas tucker.
