Only thing I wasn’t happy about was how aggressively our waiter continually attempted to refill my glass of sake. I wanted to keep the sake in the cold bottle because I wanted to enjoy it slowly, and he continually was refilling my glass to try to get me to drink jt more quickly. I understood the tactic, but I didn’t appreciate it. Otherwise, it was a perfect evening with otherwise perfect service.

What a wonderful experience and DELICIOUS food! Server Tiffany and support personal did a great joy taking care of us! Absolutely LOVE the shrimp tempura sushi appetizer. Always a favorite. Thank you for a great meal and great experience!

Not as expensive as I anticipated with drinks, food was very different and very tasty…would definitely go back again to try different dishes.

A dinner that we were excited for turned terrible. We arrived for our 8:30 reservation. First impression - suspiciously dark, music was ear piercingly loud rap (ok for the lounge area, but not desirable for the dining room). With that, we should have left, but we were looking forward to the food. When we ordered fluke sushi, the server said they were out. Then we tried ordering the teppanyaki ribeye (what we were most looking forward to), also out. The waitress stated "yeah we've been out of that since 7pm". Servers should advise this at the beginning of dinner. The hot and sour soup tasted like buffalo sauce. Soy sauce dish was chipped. Crackling pork came out room temperature. Orange chicken was subpar, could be found in the frozen aisle of any grocery store. Lo mein had vegetables in it that were very undercooked. However, the highlight of the night was the mushroom pepper ribeye, which was covered in a sauce so unbearably salty that it was inedible (agreed with by each person in the party), as well as chewy. We had to send it back and our server offered to bring us a menu to choose a replacement dish. Minutes later the manger came out hastily stating, "the chefs left, the kitchen is closed". We asked if we could still order sushi. No, all food prep was done for the night. It was 9:30 at this point... they close at 10. We were honestly shocked. The only thing they could offer was to take that dish off the bill. So, one person in our party was left without a dinner and had to pick at the other mediocre options already on the table. Not once did our server come to check on us - she had to be waived down for the steak issue. For a high end restaurant this was truly a one star experience. We had dined at a different Tao location previously, which was why we were looking forward to this. The only positive was the toro sushi, which can be found in many other establishments with professional service and a much more pleasant atmosphere.
