    I like the decoration and atmosphere. I can also tell that the restaurant put a lot of thoughts into the food as the food combination is very creative. I would probably rate the restaurant 4.5 instead of 5 because 1. we asked for grilled medium rare wagyu but it came out to be almost well done. Plus the meat doesn't really taste like wagyu, so I'm guessing it's probably american wagyu. 2. the lobster fried rice has too little lobsters in it.

    What an amazing place. The ambiance will sweep you off your feet as soon as you walk through the door. Great place for a special occasion or a party. The food was amazing. Rhianna was a really attentive server and I could tell all the service staff was professionally trained. Thank you so much.

    We have been to 3 other TAO locations and we were excited to take my sister to the LA location for her birthday. She is visiting here from Ireland and we couldn’t wait to introduce her to one of our favorite restaurants. We had reservations for 5:30pm. When we arrived we were told to sit in the bar area and someone would seat us. We waited over 20min before I approached the host to ask about our seat to be told it would just be another 2min. The restaurant was empty as we waited another 10min before being sat. After getting to our seat we then waited another 25 minutes before anyone addressed us for water or drinks. This goes on throughout the evening as we were left for extended periods without a server to attend to anything we needed. Mind you we saw surrounding tables being attended to by their servers. It was a huge disappointment. Luckily the food was delicious as always. We are believers in tipping heavy as times are tough and to not feel proper going above the norm for this experience was saddening. They really need to work on their customer service here.

    When I made the reservation I indicated a birthday yet it was never acknowledged … other than that it was fine

    Good was great, service was outstanding, we were celebrating my daughters birthday and with out asking server brought a cake and candle to the table. It was a nice surprise for my daughter. She had a blast!!

    Everything was great. Only con is i ordered the dessert platter ahead of time and asked for it to say “happy anniversary” on it but they forgot, and for $100 platter, i feel there should be extra attention to detail on that. Otherwise great service, great ambiance, great drinks, and great tasting food. Would recommend, and would go again.
