TAO Chicago offers guests a sensual trip through the cuisines of Asia. The design-driven restaurant and adjoining nightclub is inspired by the original TAO locations in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

TAO Chicago features multiple levels, creating dynamic spaces within the historic building’s shell, while adding TAO’s Asian-influenced DNA to the restaurant, lounge and nightclub including murals by artist Hush and TAO’s signature 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring one end of the dining room.

TAO Chicago’s restaurant menu, created by TAO Group Partner and Chef Ralph Scamardella , is complete with Pan-Asian offerings from the sea, sky and land including signature dishes like Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy Rice Tuna and a Wagyu Rib-Eye.

    Ambience: 5/5 Noise level : High Apps and drinks: 4.5/5 Food:1/5 Do not order the Pad Thai - it was so sweet it basically qualifies as dessert. There is no justification for putting candied cashews in a Pad Thai - NONE. For a $300 meal (for 3 people with apps and drinks) the entree was extremely disappointing. But loved the service, the decor and the general vibe.

    I had made several phone calls to make a reseveration for 12 people. I did not receive a call back. In order to make a reseveration we had to make two seperate rsvp for 6 people so they would accommadate us. Upon arriving I informed the hostess of our situation and she said she would do the best she could. She sat 6 of us at a table that would isolated and was on the stairs and the other 6 in a totally different area. When asked why no one ever called back she stated "All calls go to our coporate office in Las Vegas and that's a my bad on them", I asked to speak to a manager and during my entire dinning experience a manager never came to speak with me. This is not my first time dinning at Tao however I do believe it will be my last.

    Food was great! Drinks a little expensive for its content. Took a little longer than we would like for our entrees to come out

    We had a reservation for a group of 6 but had to wait 30 minutes for a table. As this was a birthday event this was a let down and the group was disappointed. Also, two things that we wanted to order were sold out. Besides that, we did have a good time. The food was great. The ambiance and decor were excellent. Service was okay - the wait time with a reservation and the lackluster server let us down a bit.

    Food and cocktails were in top notch. We ordered tapas family style- get the sizzling soy chicken! Service was just ok. We waited 40 mins to be seated despite making a reservation 3 weeks ago and the Bartender and waitress seemed overwhelmed and not friendly.
