Tannins at Torquay is an oasis for wine lovers in beautiful Hervey Bay.
We offer an elegant but comfortable atmosphere for our guests to enjoy our wines which are mainly sourced from boutique small wineries in Australia and most are available by the glass.
We also offer a selection of Queensland brewed craft beers and small batch hand crafted whiskies and gins.
Our food menu is focused on grazing and sharing; offering a delicious selection of grazing boards to share.
We offer outdoor dinning in our sunny courtyard where well behaved dogs are welcome.

Had an excellent time at Tannins, the food was wonderful, well presented and delicious. Coupled with some well placed suggestions for mixers to go with quite an extensive selection of gins made for an all round delightful evening.

The platters were lovely, the wine we had was beautiful, the only drawback for us was the music was too loud. We like to eat out and talk, the music detracted from that.

Our first time visiting Tannins for lunch and it was excellent. The best seafood mornay and beautiful bread! Full of prawns and scallops and so filling. Definitely worth a visit, and if you love wine they have a huge selection.

Having previously visited Tannins, I had no hesitation in suggesting we go there to celebrate my friend's anniversary. To say they were impressed would be a gross understatement. In fact, my friends, who were down from Bundaberg, can't wait to repeat the experience. The service was warm and friendly without being patronising, and the food plentiful and of excellent quality. Thank you Tannins.

The seating,food and service were topnotch and the live performer was an accomplished singer and was at the perfect level to be enjoyed without interfering with table conversation. We will be returning often.

Always a pleasant venue to have a chat, drink and nibbles at. The platters are lovely, one between 3 was quite sufficient. My only wish is more options for sparkling wines (bubbles). Only a couple of choices and one wasn't very nice, for my pallet anyway. But I still enjoy the ambience of the venue and very relaxing. Will be back again.

We had a really enjoyable evening. We were greeted with a smile and were seated outside but protected from the elements. We ordered 2 single platters for variety and they were well presented and we struggled to finish them. It was nice and relaxing with a point of difference from your usual restaurant. Perfect for a special occasion. Looking forward to going again.
