Tana is an upscale Italian restaurant drawing from local Chef Michael Gulotta's New Orleans Sicilian upbringing as well as his time training in the Liguria region of Italy.

Experience cocktails in our comfy lounge with jewel toned plush booths and ambient lighting. Dine in the classically Italian styled main room with wood beams or The Villa, which is light and airy with lots of natural light, as if you're dining al fresca on the Sicilian coast.

    A true dining experience but it does come at a cost. Food is pricey but everyone loved their choices. Oyster appetizer a must. Fish entree very good as well as chicken. We've been there a few times and the menu stays the same. I'd like to see a few new dishes to try. My criticism is that it's a bit noisy and the base of the table interferes with moving your legs.

    My dining experience at TANA was fabulous! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful and unforgettable dining experience.

    The aesthetic of the restaurant was very pleasing. The service was good. The food was OK. The Pasta Cart dish did not taste that great but the experience of it was nice with how they prepared it at tableside and explaining about the cheese wheel. The Shrimp Paccheri was good. It reminded me of a Tuscan style pasta. The cocktails did not taste great but they did look great. I got a dirty martini that tasted like straight gin. My wife got a drink called purple rain, which tasted OK. I believe if they decrease the amount of lemon or lime that was in that drink, it would taste better.

    Service was great once we reached the table. The food was solid, and the pasta made tableside was fun. Then an 80s DJ Dance party broke out in the bar area, including a light show. For the price, the restaurant seems like it wants to be fine dining. I was surprised when it turned into a club halfway through dinner.

    Tana is a great addition to the Metairie restaurant scene. The Meatball appetizers are my favorite, along with the oysters. The red snapper entre was delicious. Our servers were attentive and knowledgeable. I also recommend just going for cocktails at the bar. The bar seating area is very luxe. Definitely going back.

    The ravioli with crab meat was OUTSTANDING! Definitely will order that every time. The restaurant was hip, clean, upscale, and at just the right noise level. The bar was even more fun and seeing the wine cellar was a nice touch.
