Tamarind Modern Indian Bistro offers an elegant dining area that can seat large parties for events of all types. Tamarind Bistro serves brunch and dinner, and all meals are prepared by chefs who take great pride in the fine Modern Indian food. There are options for catering and ordering online, as well.

The menu offers appetizers, tandoori, curry and accompaniment in the form of breads, sauces and the like. Dishes served at Tamarind Bistro include Mulligatawny Soup, Panipuri Shots, Samosa, Noodle Bhel, Tandoori Konkan Shrimps, Murgh Malai, Chicken Tikka Taco, Lamb Roganjosh and, of course, Tandoori baked nan.

Server spilled drink on our table, ruining clothes of all guests. Instead of providing a different table, a girl started cleaning while my parents were sitting there again spilling the mess. Atleast 4-5 staff saw this but none showd up to make effort or apologize. When nobody show up to seat us to a different clean table we started leaving. Instead of apologizing and sorting out the issue, one of the girls came running to stop us with a bill in hand and said that we need to pay for the drinks. Stupid and mannerless staff working here. Ruined my wife’s birthday. I hope this restaurant just shut down asap.

The food was average for the cost. We went for dinner and they dimmed all the lights and it felt like a forced candlelight dinner. We hated that. The live singer was so loud. We couldn’t hear each other. The veggie raita on the menu had NO veggies in it. An absolute waste of of $5. Overall experience wasn’t the best for an extended family dinner. I wouldn’t go there again

Food was below average. We ordered tandoori momos, looked like tadka covered and not at all tandoori. Ordered paneer lababdar spicy and tawa paneer mild. Both came with zero spice and seasoning. Server said name wrong so we wrongly ended sending tawa paneer back to make it spicy. Had to ask for water couple of times, had to wait for over 10mins for kitchen to fix dish, we were almost done by the time they brought it back they added spice but was severely under seasoned. Not at all worth the money.

The experience at this restaurant was a bit mixed. Despite our reservation, we weren't seated at the requested table and had to wait 20-25 minutes just to place our order, with additional delays for the food to arrive. While the dishes were okay, they fell short of what we expected for this type of establishment. On a positive note, the live music was a highlight of our evening, adding a pleasant atmosphere. However, overall, the service left much to be desired

We ordered paneer tawa masala, garlic naan and roomali roti. As soon as the sabji came, we knew this was going to be different. The color, consistency, amount of paneer, onions etc were all different. Upon asking found out they had a different chef. This was not great as a customer because the food level was drastically different than what we are used to. We have been to Tamarind for months now and ordering the same thing so I know when it’s different. It really ruined our experience! If this goes on, I don’t think I will be returning to Tamarind again. I was very disappointed:(

Food was good, however missed the dry ice with the Pani Puri shots, Puri was old (not as crunchy as previously experienced) and the fillings were minimal (maybe 1 chick pea per Pani Puri)! Lamb Biriyani was amazing and so were the naan breads. Kadhai chicken was sweetish. Restaurant was busy being a Saturday afternoon (reservation was for 6:30pm) and large parties were celebrating birthdays etc. Was informed Live music commences at 7:30pm, it started after 8pm when we were due to leave. Waitresses looked stressed due to booking requirements of diners waiting to be seated, however it did not affect the service.

Reserved the place well in advance and received a confirmation from the restaurant. Family was visiting from India and Atlanta, so had planned a reunion. On arriving there, the door notice mentioned that the restaurant is closed till June 13! It was quite embarrassing for me. Drove all the way from Hamilton!
