Wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. We were on time for our reservation, and they promptly sat us at our table. Nice vibe. Our waiter was attentive and a pleasure. I recommend trying to sit in the front room or back room. We were seated at one of three “two tops” in the narrow hallway next to the kitchen. Although it was exciting to see the kitchen humming on all cylinders, the ventilation is not great. Our eyes were watering from the kitchen smoke. Not a big deal, but for whatever reason, it’s just not ventilated very well. But, it’s a fair trade off to see the kitchen and all the excitement. Will go back.

This place was amazing! The service was great and the food was even better. We started with the mussels which had an incredible sauce + bread to dip it in. We also had the short rib and Chilean sea bass, both were a 10/10.

So happy to see Tala House VERY busy on Valentine’s Day! This restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood! Dinner and cocktails were great as was the service. Our only critique is that the room was really loud as the dining room was packed with tables close together, even near the bar at the entry. Might be worth adding something to muffle the noise. We will definitely be back!!

Ash’s place is amazing he and his staff genuinely connects with you and you feel like you are the most special guest in the room. We have lived in Chicago since 2010 and know all the restaurants in the area and this by far, is our most favorite place to dine. The dishes are a piece of art, flavors are complex and subtle at the same time. It feels like a home cooked meal with all natural ingredients. We are so excited that he brought his vision and passion to Andersonville, it is a perfect addition to the neighborhood!

The food was fabulous, the staff incredible but the noise level in the rear dining room was an issue. Small room with lots of tables and people makes it challenging to have a conversation. Otherwise outstanding. Can't wait for the summer when they open the patio.

Local spot work really delicious seafood forward appetizers and entrees. Chef pulls from Mexico City inspiration to beautifully bring bright and delicious food to the table.

Arrived for dinner after the family show at chicago magic lounge (about a block away). Great service, food above average, all five of us happy with our meals.

Excellent first time experience at Tala. Food and service were top tier. A wide range of New American offerings for brunch and much more to try for dinner. Tried the house made labneh and crackers, the smoke salmon omelet and buttermilk pancakes. A delicious pairing of bright, tart, sweet and spicy and savory all together. The coffee was perfect black and the mocktails were also a standout.

My friend and I went to Tala House for brunch over the weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The menu featured an elevated, middle-eastern take on some breakfast classics that were delicious. I got the salmon omelette, which came with dill breakfast potatoes and guacamole - it was fantastic! In addition to the food, Tala had a great list of different brunch cocktails. I got the guanabana spritz which was a regional take on an aperol spritz, but with guanabana liquor (and I think I may have actually liked it better!). It's winter, so the back patio was closed, so the restaurant was pretty crowded and noisy, but it was still easy to chat with my friend and not feel cramped. Our server was excellent and attentive and the whole staff was friendly and checked in with us the perfect amount of times. Glad to have Tana House in the neighborhood!

First time here and will definitely be back! The food was excellent. Chilean se bass and ahi tuna were both delicious and the guacamole was amazing! Also, the truffle fries should not be missed. Very friendly and welcoming service. Top notch cocktails. Very lively and on the noisy side, but in a good way. Overall, a great addition to the Andersonville dining scene!
