After months of training in Japan, A new Takumi Yakiniku is back! New Team, New Menu, Better food and Better Service.
Takumi Yakiniku is a Japanese Yakiniku BBQ restaurant that offers top quality Australian Wagyu and Japanese Wagyu and Authentic Japanese Cuisine. Besides Yakiniku we also offer traditional Japanese Washoku. We have both buffet menu and A'La Carte menu. We aim to provide our customers the best experience with us by providing the most authentic Japanese taste, the most harmonious dining environment and best customer service experience.
Our kitchen staff are mostly native Japanese who have 10+ years chef experience in Japanese Cuisine.
Recent training in Japan allows us to provide more varieties. Besides, Yakiniku, we will start offering Ramen, Udon, Tempura, Oden, Steaming Egg, Ochatsuke and Yakitori to our customers. So that you get more to choose to fulfill your wish. Please don't hesitate to visit us to try our food.

We decided to eat early as it is often difficult to get parking around Eastwood. We decided to order ala carte as we are not big eaters and were not really hungry that day. The cuts of meat were of very good quality and even the chicken and pork belly cuts were good. Service could be a little better as the staff forgot our order of hot tea and it only came towards the end of the meal when they didnt understand when we tried to cancel the tea order since it was so late into the meal.

We both ordered the ochazuke. The sashimi portions were not generous & the bowl came with a lot of rice that we couldn't finish. The tea was also tasteless and didn't add to the flavour of the dish. I've had ochazuke before and this was not good.

Probably one of the best BBQ places I've ever been to since my trip to Japan. Incredible food quality and great service (if somewhat slow during peak hours). Pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. Would highly recommend.

Chose this restaurant as seen some good review from Redbook. Overall was good there are some dishes like the tempura not enjoyable as the batter was not crispy and pretty heavy coating. Ramen was ok not the best. BBQ meat were pretty good. The sitting we had was really nice in a private room.

Overall good experience. Would go again. Went on a Wednesday night not many tables. Ordered the all u can eat yakiniku added sukiyaki combo. Yakiniku they have 3 pricing level. We order the middle one, still have 5 typer of wagyu , sushi, sashimi, hotfood etc. The sukiyaki sauce was abit too dark and abit bitter when cooked in a while. Probably won't try th sukiyaki next time.

Excellent choice and quality of food options in the buffet menu including sashimi. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff! Also love the little tags provided in the cuts of meat to know what you’re eating! Highly recommended!
