At Takja, we take pride in offering a warm and inviting space where guests can gather with family and friends to experience Korean BBQ. Chefs Jeff Kang & Edward Bang bring their culinary imagination to the table, crafting a menu that celebrates the diverse flavors of Korea. Guests will enjoy fresh seafood and in-house dry-aged meats with a heavy focus on fermentation, along with a carefully curated selection of wines and signature cocktails, which elevate traditional Korean spirits. Located in the West End, Takja offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for experiencing a special memory of a Korean BBQ or just having a good time.

Hostess was unfriendly and cold to my friend and I. It sucked. The table service was very rushed and it was evident that because we were not drinking they wanted us out as soon as possible. Half finished dishes were taken without asking on several occasions. Food might have been good if we were able to eat it. Mandatory minimum tip of 18 percent with no option for less. Weak.

We had an excellent dining experience and the team went above and beyond to make us feel very well taken care of. The staff is friendly and professional, and Chef Kang's food is very authentic and well executed. The meat was very good quality and the banchans were delicious. Thank you to the whole team!

Delicious food and excellent service. The hansang is good value for money, you will go home very full! We particularly enjoyed the pork, the wagyu beef, the seafood pancake, the soup and all the various side dishes. Food is expertly cooked on your table's grill by a very attentive server. Everything is extremely high quality, especially the meat. Seafood tower starter and bingsu (shaved ice dessert) is also included with the hansang. My cocktail was really well made. Our server recommended a bottle of the house soju to go with the main dishes, which we really enjoyed (it was our first time having soju!) The only downsides are that it is pretty noisy, so can be tricky to hear what your server is telling you about the food. Also, because the grill is integrated into the middle of your booth, if you have long legs (like me!) there isn't much legroom. I made myself more comfortable by sitting slightly side-on, but this could be an issue with a larger group of tall people. Those small points aside, we had one of the best meals of our lives at Takja BBQ. It's not an everyday place, but it is well worth the price paid. We were there to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday & our honeymoon, and the team really looked after us. We were each given a complimentary glass of prosecco with dessert, and my husband's shaved ice dessert came with a little slice of birthday cake and a candle. Thank you very much to the team for making his birthday so special.

everything from start to finish were outstanding! Our server was so detail oriented and friendly, it made the experience even better. Definitely a premium price, but the food quality was top notch. I highly recommend this place for your next dinner reservation!

Great food, service and ambience. Come hungry. This is more of an upscale Korean BBQ restaurant, so expect to pay a little more extra for higher quality meats.
