I love Korean food, my friend loves Japanese. I ordered two things from the Korean menu , she ordered 2 from the Japanese. We shared all 4 and they were all delicious. We had Seaweed salad, duck bao buns, lobster eel roll, yellowtail roll and finished with sushi ice cream roll. Also the Lycee martini was superb! Our waiter Diego was exceptional. He would appear at our table as soon as we even thought we needed anything. He was amazing! Lively fun atmosphere with an ocean breeze…can’t beat it!

I’m from Doral and I always come up to Fort Lauderdale beach to enjoy TAKATO’s amazing food. The fried rice was spectacular: actually everything is. Lol.. the service however was a bit lacking luster this time. We had to flag down our server everytime even to pay for our check. Very nice kid but needs to be attentive when getting a $40 tip. I tipped that much because of my food experience and I had a great time with my friend. Nothing beats that patio next to the water. Will come back.

Helen and Sam and all the other hard working people at takato make the experience phenomenal, and the reason why it is my favorite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The food selection is curated, different and always exceptional. The presentation is beautiful and the cocktails and whiskey choices are perfect! Race there now!!!!

Wow! Terrific meal in a lively & bustling restaurant!! Sexy vibe, great craft cocktails & impressive selection of wines. We enjoyed the spicy edamame, mushroom gyoza, vegetable fried rice and bulgogi with white rice. The edamame was a favorite with a sticky, sweet, spicy coating that proved irresistible... look forward to returning to sample more delicious options...

Here are the issues with dinner. Specifically asked for a nice table w a view for our anniversary. Host sat us in an empty section overlooking the roof of the area below patio blocking the ocean view. I asked to be sat at a different table and then put at a small two top where one has back to ocean. Asked if we could sit at the 4-top next to it she said no bc we were only 2. (Ps half of the patio was open the rest of the time we were there including this 4 top) The bar was crowded and where we sat was next to bar and about 10-15 very loud loud women surrounding the bar and frankly all around our table too. So it was a bit annoying and hard to enjoy the dinner Jorge was very sweet to offer Prosecco to celebrate the anniversary and night and we said sure. The water and Prosecco arrived quickly. We ordered tuna crispy rice and drinks as well. The tuna came out fast but we didn’t see Jorge or our drinks for about 10 min. He said he was sorry but was in pre-shift Not the end of the world but feel like something should have been said and/or someone else brought drinks. The crispy tuna was AMAZING. We ordered the miso soup as well and tbh it was soooo fishy we couldn’t eat it. Let Jorge know and he apologized and then a manger stopped by as well and apologized. Very nice and friendly manager. Angry chicken and surf n turf fried rice and wagyu crispy rice and kimchi all were amazing delicious. It all came out very fast and hot. The drinks were ok. One was strong and one was very sour. So we switched to beers. At the end Jorge surprised us w an ice cream sushi dessert as well. So unique and tasty When we got the bill we saw the Prosecco that seemed to have been complimentary was in fact $30/glass. So it was a bit annoying to have paid $60 for what we thought were for our anniversary. We would not have had if we knew Jorge was otherwise great and friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great. And would go back.

I have always enjoyed Takato but have not been there for about a year. The food was not as good as before

Always a treat to eat there. The service and food were excellent. Christine/host and Vo/ waiter always makes you feel special. The Australian ribeye and aged big eye fish weee incredible. Can’t wait til our next visit there ! Albert and Lisa
