First time trying Takato and we will DEFINITELY be back!! Everything we tried was delicious but we particularly enjoyed the spicy edamame and the waygu! Service was amazing!

We had the most amazing meal that we've had in a very, very long time. We decided to let our server, Vu pick our dishes and he did not disappoint. His service was impeccable, the food was fantastic, and the ambience was romantic. I highly recommend you go to this restaurant as you will not be disappointed!

This was my second visit, service was much improved. My server was friendly and welcoming. He was also an absolute pro at upselling, which I don’t mind. The food was still mediocre on quality and flavor, I shouldn’t NEED faux wasabi and soy sauce to make it taste like something. I love sushi and this such I just made me sad. I’ve literally had better, more flavorful grocery store sushi (albeit at a high end grocery store, but still…). I had really hoped that I just went on an off night before, but no luck on the food. Kudos to the Ukrainian server though, he managed to make spending more than $100 on a mediocre meal fun. So there’s that.

Female waitress was not interested in helping me. She literally ignored me for ten full minutes after seating and didn’t even offer me bottled water. It took her 20(!!) minutes from time of seating to take my food order. The food was B- in quality. Expensive, a little tasteless, but fine. Not much to choose from in the area. I came back the 19th and had the Ukrainian man as my waiter. He was very helpful and even though he was busy, actually came to check in occasionally. It’s interesting how the server’s attitude can make all the difference.

Always EXCELLENT! So fresh and delicious. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. He also gave good recommendations. Nice, airy space & inviting ambiance. We will definitely return.
