LA Jolla prices but it was good. Definitely not an all the time location.

Tasty fusion sushi. The service was slow but polite. Not the best value but a cute date night ambiance.

The restaurant was very busy, and thus very loud, as it is a small space. We had reserved a table, but the table was not available, so we sat at the bar instead. The sushi we received tasted good, and was pleasantly presented, but expensive compared to other sushi restaurants. We received 6 pieces of sushi as a sushi roll, compared to other restaurants that normally serve 9 - 12 pieces per roll. Service was slow, even though they had 3 people making sushi, and several servers. The other bothersome item, the curtain that closed the kitchen, was filthy, as they put their hands on it everytime they went in and out of it. Meh!

Probably the best sushi I have ever had. The ambiance was quite lovely and calm which we appreciated. The service was impeccable. The food was just outstanding- next level in freshness and preparation. I'm so happy this place opened up close to our home in La Jolla and def worth the trip even if you don't live in LJ.

Takaromono Sushi is an absolute gem! I had the pleasure of trying the salmon sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, Wagyu, and the La Jolla roll, and every bite was incredible. The fish was exceptionally fresh, perfectly prepared, and of outstanding quality—it truly melts in your mouth. The chef was very friendly and made the experience even better by offering thoughtful recommendations that did not disappoint. You can tell they take pride in their craft. If you’re looking for top-tier sushi and a welcoming atmosphere, Takaromono Sushi is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Sushi and service was great! Have some cool unique rolls and can make some items gluten free! Sake was great too
