Takai by Kashiba is a fine dining Edo-Mae style Sushi restaurant that specializes exclusively in nigiri sushi.
Sushi Counter is solely Chef's Omakase, seated at 5:30 and 7:30.
Omakase is also available at our dining room tables along with a la carte Sushi options.
We do not have vegan/vegetarian/kids menus available. We are able to accommodate most allergies.

Led by Chef Jun Takai, the Omakase consists of local and international seafood accompanied by Kaiseki style dishes. Takai by Kashiba creates an elegant atmosphere whether you're seated at a table or the intimate sushi bar.

Omakase style drink pairings are also available along with a thoughtful selection of Sake, Wine and Japanese Whisky.

What a lovely experience. Everything is well planned, well thought out and well executed. Omakase experience was perfect for a very special business dinner. Our servers were knowledgeable and attentive. The courses were well timed and the food was amazing start to finish.

We say for a 6 pm dinner and were one of the few tables that early. Service was prompt, food was both delicious and beautiful, several dishes were fully prepared (don't add soy sauce), the room was quiet (but tables were close as they filled up), and we left satiated. All in all, great dinner. Parking is a challenge.

My husband and I have had omakase around Seattle for 10 years and Takai became our new favorite. It has more variety of fishes in smaller pieces so you get to enjoy more. Most of the sushi are longer aged l, where I felt like third of the pieces are aged for 2 weeks although I didn't count. Definitely coming back!

Takai by Kashiba food. ambiance and service are outstanding! They are however in the pricey side. I’ll avoid the pairing, we believe while the quality of the libations is also very good, the pairing didn’t enhanced the meal in any sustantive way.

Finally, real sushi in Bellevue. This is not the Americanized fusion rolls, thankfully. This is what you'd expect at a high-end sushi restaurant in Tokyo. Excellent.
