We had a reservation at 6 pm. The first waitress brought us to our table with the menus and stepped away; never brought back water for us. The place was not busy. She came back about 10 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. Never asked whether we want to order any drink. My daughter asked some questions about food portions but got bad responses. We asked for a few minutes to review menu options. She walked away and still no water to drink. We almost leave without oder food, but my daughter wanted Korean food. We stayed and asked a different waitress for water…

I found this place on Yelp which I know can be very unpredictable and inaccurate. But I read the menu and that convinced me to check it out. The atmosphere and vibe is geared toward the younger twenty crowd with separate Karaoke rooms and videos being shown around the dining / bar area. So the food and service, Fire! We were greeted and treated wonderfully by Alex. The food was served fresh, hot and flavorful. I would and will go back for Korean food - and stay away from the weekends to leave that up to the young bloods. I really hope this review reads well to those who see it. It was awesome! Alex it was so great to meet you. Gratitude to the chef, bartender and Alex for a great experience.

Great food. We were a larger group (10 people), and even though the restaurant was not busy took a while for the food to come out, with a few errors (wrong food being delivered to the wrong diner). Staff was kind and reasonable and quickly corrected any errors.

We rented a private room for karaoke, which was a lot of fun. The food was really, really good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tak Korean Bistro & Karaoke in Chicago, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. Here’s why I’m giving this place a well-deserved five stars: From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the modern and stylish decor. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, perfect for both a casual night out or a special celebration. The private karaoke rooms are a fantastic touch, providing an intimate and fun setting for groups. The staff at Tak Korean Bistro & Karaoke are top-notch. From the server who warmly greeted us at the door to our attentive server, every member of the team made us feel welcome and well taken care of. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring our dining experience was tailored to our tastes. The food here is nothing short of spectacular. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the crispy fried chicken and the perfectly seasoned kimchi and seafood pancakes. For the main course, we had the Jjampong soup, which was rich and flavorful, and paired beautifully with a bottle of soju. The fried pork belly was a killer. I couldn’t stop eating. Each dish was prepared with great care and authenticity, showcasing the best of Korean cuisine. The drink selection is impressive, featuring a range of korean beers, soju and a lot more. I’ve never seen a variety of Korean drinks like this even in most bars in Seoul. The cocktails are a must-try, expertly mixed and incredibly refreshing. After dinner, we headed to one of the private karaoke rooms. The rooms are well-equipped with a vast selection of songs, both Korean and international hits. The sound system is excellent, and the privacy of the room made it easy to let loose and have fun with friends. It was the perfect end to an already amazing evening. Tak Korean Bistro & Karaoke offers a unique and unforgettable dining and entertainment experience. Definitely coming back soon!

Bad service, the girl working on Wednesday night kept giving us very rude attitude. She never came to our table. We were out of water,napkin and wanted to order more but we decided just leave.
