The origins of South Bank’s newest Asian dining experience are steeped rich in history, honouring traditions in Chinese and South East Asian cuisines. Our restaurant is proudly named after the owner’s ancestral great, great grandmother who was, as the title refers to, Tai Tai.

Our location in the heart of South Bank makes Tai Tai one of Brisbane’s most popular restaurants to dine at before a film, show at QPAC or conference at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. We welcome and encourage walk-ins, however limited number of tables are available to book in advance.

Waited a very long time for food. Wasn’t full, so maybe just not enough staff. Food is expensive, always has been, but the quality has declined significantly. Disappointing. Not really worth the money anymore.

Food was very good - we had the banquet and so tasted a variety of dishes and found them all delicious. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend

Seated on time, served without being rushed, good space between courses, serving sizes excellent, not rushed out the door afterwards.

We went there for dinner before Riverfire fireworks. The place was bustling and busy but the staff were always helpful and patience. Never rush, always smiling. And the food are AMAZING! We had bao buns for entree and salt pepper squids and fried rice for mains. All came out very quickly and delicious. An amazing night out for my partner and i. We had an amazing time. To the lady who looked after us on table 24, thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Tai Tai and looking forward to come back. If you’re looking for a nice and delicious Chinese/Asian food, i highly recommend Tai Tai. 🤗

Possibly the fastest service I’ve experienced at any restaurant, even for Tai Tai! They’re reliable with their service to guarantee on time arrival for any show nearby & the food is always A1 👌🏼🙏🏼

We had early lunch before a matinee show, service was prompt and good atmosphere but the food is delicious, good size servings and so fresh. Will definitely return and would recommend.

Lovely lunch on a sunshiny Saturday. Staff were amazingly attentive and friendly, and drinks were delivered swiftly as we waited for our friend to arrive. The Ink Gin Spritz is not just pretty to look at but deliciously refreshing. Our wait gave us time to chat to our server who gave us some great tips on ordering. We started with the prawn har gow dumplings and they were so so good! Filed with prawns and juicy and delectably delicious. We then had the char sui bbq pork, the green beans with pork and the absolute stand out - wok tossed ginger prawns and scallops. Served with rice this was plentiful for three diners. Can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu
