Step into a Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse restaurant, and it's like taking a trip to Lake Tahoe. Ultimately, it is the food at Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse that turns first-time restaurant visitors into long term guests. Our steaks are USDA, Midwest corn fed beef, cut thick and charbroiled over a cracklin almond wood fire. Our signature items, such as slow-roasted Joe's Steak, Railroad Camp Shrimp and the to-die-for homemade Nevada Cheesecake are favorites our guests crave and are only available at Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse. Our food is made from scratch using the finest ingredients to create an experience we call Sierra Mountain Dining. Our passion for quality food is the foundation for Tahoe Joe's success.

From the moment we first walked in the door, we were greeted & related to very graciously. Seating was provided quickly, followed immediately by waitress contact. Our waitress, Sidney, was very attentive throughout our stay, helping clarify our menu selections. Once ordered, the meal was delivered promptly. Our salads were fresh, & well composed… and even as we were finishing them, the main course was delivered. The food was well composed & good proportions, exactly as ordered, hot, and quite delicious. My order was the Joe’s steak- it was a substantial portion, & cooked perfectly! My wife’s was chicken, and it too was a good-sized serving…. Enough so that we both enjoyed plenty, plus went home with extra to spare! Sidney graciously furnished us with take-out containers, then even before I could ask, with a handy bag with which to port them securely to our car! Not only did we enjoy the decor & meal, we enjoyed & appreciated the pleasant opportunity to chat with our waitress! The woodsie interior decor, set off beautifully by the interior lighting, gives the space a very compelling vibe. Greeting you as you enter on a chilly evening is a welcoming & charming fireplace & stony surround- putting out substantial warmth! This was also the last aspect of TahoeJoe’s you enjoy as you leave…. For me, it beckons me to return- Soon!

We waited an hour after our reservation to be seated. But the food was good and our waitress was trying her hardest to keep up with the amount of tables she had. Good food and good waitress. Just unorganized up front.

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants when I come in from San Francisco. I have moved away and miss it very much especially their railroad camp shrimp. So we planned a birthday celebration here and the service was great, but I would have to say the food was lacking. We had to ask for bread and butter, which is normally standard and my salad Had mostly brown lettuce which is quite a disappointment. I would hope they would pay more attention in the kitchen because old lettuce is unacceptable.

great food and atmosphere is like being in a cabin. everyone loved their meal.. cuz i asked them.. Very good burgers and steaks of course.

Not good food, restaurant was freezing inside and when asked to increase temperature we were told that it was central and could not be changed, so we had to eat with our jackets on. Expensive for the quality of food

I have to say we haven't been to the Visalia location for awhile, but our party was pleasantly surprised. The wait staff were on point, friendly, prompt and attentive. The food... EXCELLENT!!!! Steaks cooked to perfection, and food was not cold. All around the best meal we have had in a very long time. The price was very reasonable too. Thank you for a great experience.

Overall, the food was very delicious and the service was good. Our salads that came with our dinner, took a long time to arrive. While we were eating our salads, our waitress brought our dinner plates, which made the table crowded. Just wish our salads came earlier so we could have been finished by the time our dinner plates came to our table.
