Step into a Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse restaurant, and it's like taking a trip to Lake Tahoe. Ultimately, it is the food at Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse that turns first-time restaurant visitors into long term guests. Our steaks are USDA, Midwest corn fed beef, cut thick and charbroiled over a cracklin almond wood fire. Our signature items, such as slow-roasted Joe's Steak, Railroad Camp Shrimp and the to-die-for homemade Nevada Cheesecake are favorites our guests crave and are only available at Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse. Our food is made from scratch using the finest ingredients to create an experience we call Sierra Mountain Dining. Our passion for quality food is the foundation for Tahoe Joe's success.

The food was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was great. It had been awhile since we had here but the wait was worth it. We are already planning our next visit.

Trevor, our waiter, could not have been more accommodating and it was a pleasure to have him serve us! We had contact with the manager, Cole, who has always been very helpful and friendly, a real treasure! Food was perfect, drinks were tasty, and served in a very timely manner. An altogether enjoyable experience, and relaxing evening!

We enjoyed our visit to Tahoe Joe’s very much. It was my husband‘s birthday, we decided just to do dinner the two of us. I had the calamari steak and big baked potato, which was phenomenal. My husband had the fillet with green beans and big baked potato, and everything was cooked to perfection, the warm dinner rolls are to die for!!!!!The only complaint I have is we both had Caesar salad and it was literally trenched in dressing so much so that it made the lettuce soggy. The dressing tasted wonderful. We just needed a lot less of it. They brought my husband a piece of cheesecake for his birthday and he said it was absolutely delicious. I don’t think you can find better ambience, service, and the delicious meal that you get for the price. The value is so much better than your higher end restaurants, and the food was as good as any of the others!!!!!

Tahoe Joe’s has improved immensely over the last couple years since they were taken over. When Fansler owned them, they were excellent couldn’t beat anywhere in town. Then when they got taken over by another company, it went downhill now it’s a lot better. They improved the quality. The taste is getting back up. There still has a little ways to go, but it’s doing really really well.

We were seated promptly which was great but I feel we were not checked on regularly like the others. Towards the end our meal we asked for more bread since the waitress was dropping off the check already she said we charge for bread to go. If she had checked in us before we could have had the bread with our meal. We paid, we were ready for her to come back to pick up the tab, she never did so we grabbed out to go boxes and left. On our way out we asked for a bag for our boxed items and bread we had been charged for and packed it ourselves. We were a quiet couple but that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve the same service. We left feeling downhearted as we like to frequent this establishment. Our appetizers were brought out by a young man, our entrees were brought out by a different server so all our server did was get us drinks. She checked on us once at the end to charge us extra for bread.

Food was excellent, well prepared, and came in a timely manner. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Our choice of beverages were also well prepared. So all in all it was an enjoyable experience

Great service, at least from the waitress (Mikayla)who served us, and a hearty selection of entrees on the menu. Prices were expensive compared to where we’re from especially since the food was nothing stellar. Poor selection of craft beers and other beverages. Interior was nothing special and could use a makeover if they want to stay competitive. I think we would try a different steakhouse next time we’re visiting.
