It it's finally time to sail on and anchor down at a permanent location, opening our flag ship store this fall on the Upper West side of Manhattan. My husband, our 2 daughters and I have enjoyed coming here for a few years. The food, ambience and our service is usually great. However, most recently, we had a reservation at 5:15pm, Saturday, March 16th and when my daughters and I arrived, we noticed that the lady who was seating/hostessing has a bit of a negative attitude. She didn’t say hi. She asked if we were part of a party and I didn’t understand her because she was mumbling. I asked her to repeat and then I said no that we were 4 under my name but my husband was parking. She sat us down. Our waiter was awesome! He was friendly and immediately took my kids’ orders. He was great. He even brought a few crayons for the girls because the hostess just sat us and walked away. A few minutes later my husband walked in and the same thing happened to him. He was behind a group talking to the hostess and when it was his turn, once again, she had an attitude. She didn’t say hi and kind of ignored him, so he called me on the phone to find our table and just walked away to the table. Again, the food and service during our meal was great. The food and drinks were very good and we had a great time. However, whoever the hostess was at that time, needs to learn better manners in greeting and talking to people as they come in. She had a bad attitude and should not be the first impression when patrons walk into the restaurant.

Absolute favorite spot! I took friends from out of town and it was their favorite meal while they visited NYC.
