We have been a big fan of Thomas Heinrich, not a paid advocate or close associate, for many years. We dined with him at Sage, The Truffle Farm, Table in Wanniassa and now Table by Canberra Gourmet in Tuggeranong Canberra. We were glad but not surprised that Thomas & co are still doing a stellar job of elevating Canberra's food scene. Everything about our last visit was superb. Do yourself a favour & just book. Whether an intimate twosome or a group, you will not be disappointed. We will be going back soon to share Table with different friends this time. Enjoy.

Lunch at Table Canberra Saturday was really special. Each dish was crafted with such care and creativity. The highlight for us without a doubt, was the Spiced Ora King Salmon, the texture was perfect with a crisp exterior that gave way to incredibly tender, flavourful salmon. The whipped garlic and citrus brought out the natural richness of the fish, creating a dish that was nothing short of extraordinary. We haven’t stopped talking about it. Adding to the experience was how personable chef was taking the time to introduce each dish, sharing his inspiration. One dish, Half Time Orange, had a gelatine-like consistency, reminiscent of childhood days playing weekend sports, he challenged us to guess the five ingredients, we guessed two. We couldn’t recommend his restaurant and the experience we had there more. Thanks Chef!!

I expected a lot more from the reviews that it had. The wine pairing is not worth it. It was a splash in the glass and was often finished before the food arrived. I could have drunk 2 wine pairings and still been under the limit. I would recommend buying the wine by the glass. Also, who does a small glass that is paired over 2 courses (which come out 20 mins apart). You should have a glass per course. The standout was the pasta dish which was superb, the rest of the food was slightly above average. For the 30 min drive from the city to here, I would pass next time.

A great hidden gem in Tuggeranong. Food was fantastic, varied, surprising, and original. Waiting Staff were friendly, informative, observant and discrete. A must try Venue for foodies looking for a true dining “experience”.

My husband and I dine here frequently and they never disappoint. The food is always exceptional and the service impeccable, especially the lovely Ella and Damarius who were so professional and friendly.

My wife and I dined at Table by Canberra to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked ahead and selected the ‘special occasion’ drop-down option, so on arrival we were given a card and discount voucher for a future visit on arrival. A nice touch to start the evening. Then followed ten courses in the degustation menu, with an optional extra oyster course. They were all interesting and delicious, and included many flavours we hadn’t tasted before. The ingredients of each course were explained to us when they arrived at the table. The hardest part was we were asked our favourite dish, or which we preferred between two at a similar stage of the meal. How do you answer that – they were all lovely. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming street location. Once you are inside it is pleasantly laid out and comfortable. Of course, the restaurant is fine dining, so expect the food prices to reflect this. The wine prices are reasonable, both per bottle or per glass, and a lot less than some other fine dining establishments we have been to. The whole experience is well worth it for a special occasion or just to treat yourself. We will dine there again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Due to some dietary restrictions I wasn’t able to try all the meals in the degustation menu; however, the chef catered to me and had alternatives ready which were also delicious. Following the meal the chef came out to chat with us and asked for some feedback, one of our favourites was a palette cleanser made of passion fruit and he discussed how he had made it. We also loved the guessing game which really added to the dining experience. Couldn’t recommend enough!
