   For fans of the BBC TV show, The Great British Menu, I would rate last night's meal at Table as a 5 or possibly a charitable 6. First, the pros: the service (Shalea) was excellent, and the ambience of the restaurant was nice. Downsides. There was no bread or rolls offered for the table. The starter, Mushroom Risotto with Goat Cheese Croquettes, was quite blah--basically a baked cheese ball filled with lots of runny cheese, but lacking distinctive flavor. If there were any mushrooms in the croquette, they were not apparent nor tasted and were subsumed by the massive runny cheese. My main course was the Seafood Paella which was a bland and unappetising brownish mass of basically shrimp and cooked frozen mussels. There were a couple of pieces of fish, possibly ahi, mixed into the dish. This is what a seafood paella generally is, but it was under seasoned and bland and not at all pleasant to look at. As a starter my wife had the hummus, which was ok, but the Costco hummus has more flavor. Deserts, Lilikoi Crème Brulee, and Chocolate Decadence (topped with a large scoop of Lappert's vanilla ice cream) were good.

   waitress was exceptional. food likewise, starting with spinach artichoke dip and finishing with pork chop. we split our dinner and it was plenty of food and the pork was cooked just right. definitely going back again.

   Disappointing. I was told the paella was good but the blackened seared ahi was overcooked and tasteless. The “spiced ribeye” had no spice. For the money you can do better.

   I am very sorry to hear this, I was wondering if the waitress checked in with you after you got your food asking if everything was, ok? I want to make sure they are following steps of service so i can help this not happen for the future once again I am very sorry.

   1 out of 5 stars The only thing this place got right was the drink—and even that wasn’t enough to make me want to stay for another. The waitress didn’t seem to know what was actually on the menu. When the wrong food came out, no one addressed it. No apology. No correction. Just silence. The flavors were bland and uninspired. Tasted more like Red Lobster leftovers than anything worth the price point. The extra fees? A surcharge for cash or credit, plus a kitchen fee. It all feels like a way to dodge paying staff fairly—who, in this case, didn’t earn a tip anyway. Skip it. One star. Don’t waste your time or your money.

   Aloha, I think there is a mix up in the place that you dinned at , us at "Table at Poipu" does not charge a kitchen fee, we also did not have a wrong item go out the kitchen last night. I don't want to name names but someone real close to us in the shopping center does have those polices , may i please see a picture of your receipt . so if for so crazy reason it was us i can get to the bottom of it

   A lovely restaurant with delicious inspired food, unfortunately we were there at the height of spring break so one large group with 6 unruly kids put a bit of a damper on the evening for the vast majority of adult diners. Food wise, we enjoyed the truffle croquettes a lot and the whiskey pork chop was tender and luscious. There’s an ok wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails. Our server, whose name I don’t get (on the short side with long pony tail) did a wonderful job despite having a lot of tables .

   We had reservations for 6:15 on a Saturday via OpenTable and it was our first time dining here. We highly recommend you consider dining here for your next special occasion or date night. Table at Poipu is a very nice restaurant, definitely on the fine dining spectrum for Kauai. The server, Bailee was very nice she immediately recognized and acknowledged that my wife and I were local guests. She took the time to make small talk and made it feel personal. When taking our appetizer plates she jokingly said “wow someone must be in the industry because you stacked the plates and silverware” which is something my wife and do but that was the first time someone acknowledged it, and yes my wife used to work in a restaurant. The food was amazing we started off with the bacon wrapped scallops and the mushroom risotto goat cheese croquettes. Which were very delicious and decently portioned for the two of us. For our entrees my wife had the blackened fresh catch and I had the ribeye, which had more than enough meat that I couldn’t finish it. For dessert we shared the Lilikoi Crème Brûlée which was delicious, we wish we could have more but we were full. We give the Table at Poipu 5/5 stars for the service, food, ambiance and overall experience!

   We were pleasantly surprised with the white table cloth ambiance and our wonderful dining choices. …the braised beef (very tender) and the seafood paella.

   It started off with a warm aloha greeting by the hostess. The wait service was friendly and attentive. The Caesar’s salad and French Onion soup were probably the best on the island. We settled for the chicken Marsala and the pork chops and both were delicious. To cap it off my wife ordered the chocolate mint dessert and I had the haupia pudding. The presentations weee beautiful and definitely something to write home about.
