Built in 1837 and beautifully restored, Table 1837 features dining areas adorned by linen draped tables, rough hewn beams, original stone and brick work, a spring-fed fountain, wine cellar dining, outdoor patio, a bar and lounge areas.
A scenic drive, 15 minutes from York-PA, 40 minutes from Baltimore-MD or Harrisburg-PA, 50 min from Gettysburg-PA or Lancaster-PA.

Our dining rooms offer a collection of spaces that can be reserved privately. The spaces can host groups as small as 10 and as large as 50 persons. The restaurant may also be reserved privately for dining events up to 125 persons.

Delicious meal from the bread with rosemary butter all the way to the delicious cheesecake for dessert! The lobster and crab bisque was amazing, along with a delicious salad my wife selected, a perfectly crafted burger, and phenomenal Pacific Cod and Crab Imperial! Well done all around.

I brought 2 friends from out of town. My husband and I have been dining with you a long time. Wanda was our server. I have never had such fabulous service as she provided. She also made the best cosmo I’ve ever had at your place. A delightful lunch in every way. Only one comment about the food. Shrimp salad and chicken salad were both rather heavy on the Mayo.

Great ambiance and very good service. The "Wednesday Night Local Special" has limited (cost driven) selections, but within those constraints, was tasty, well prepared and used quality ingredients. Plus, the Server introduced us to a PA sourced micro-brew lager that perfectly matched our beer preferences and menu selections.

Our dinner choice was the prix fixe because we were interested in something different from our usual dinners out. Ivana, our server, explained everything to us and gave us time to deliberate over our choices. We both started with the crab and lobster bisque, then one chose the seafood entree and the other chose the beef entree. For dessert, one chose the mousse and the other chose the gelato. The intermezzos were flavorful and perfect to transition between courses. Every dish was elegantly presented, and the temperature and portion size was perfect. The flavors were delightful. The chef and kitchen team are skilled and thoughtful. I'd say the wine glass prices were steeper than necessary, but the wines we chose were imported so perhaps there were fair reasons for the price. Very delicious, though. The only downside was that the table nearest us included an older gentleman who spoke loudly, forcing us to overhear most of his discussion (and he was a talker). Other than that, we completely enjoyed our dinner and the venue. It was just right for a very special occasion; the loud talker wasn't the restaurant's fault.
