Built in 1837 and beautifully restored, Table 1837 features dining areas adorned by linen draped tables, rough hewn beams, original stone and brick work, a spring-fed fountain, wine cellar dining, outdoor patio, a bar and lounge areas.
A scenic drive, 15 minutes from York-PA, 40 minutes from Baltimore-MD or Harrisburg-PA, 50 min from Gettysburg-PA or Lancaster-PA.

Wonderful dining experience! We visited for our anniversary as we wanted a special meal and a different experience. Table 1837 at Glen Rock Mill Inn knocked it out of the park! We did the prix fixe tasting menu and it was fantastic! The ambiance was lovely, historic, quiet, and romantic. The staff had an anniversary card on the table and our server brought us each a glass of champagne compliments of the restaurant to toast. The short rib was the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the filet mignon, and was very impressed. Dessert was amazing, but we were so full by the end we decided to take one home and split one at the restaurant, just so we each got a little sweet but didn’t completely overstuff ourselves. What a spectacular dinner, we’ll definitely be back!

Came in for our 20th anniversary dinner. Amazing food. I’m still thinking about the chipotle cannoli.

We enjoyed the meal it is a very nice place with a lot of old mill character. We shared the soft shell taco appetizer, never had one before but this one was excellent. Then we each had an entree and both were delicious with some unique touches. The drinks we fine and the dessert menu looked good but we were a little too stuffed. We had never been there before and just picked off the list at OpenTable and it turned out to be a very good choice.

This was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. From the hostess and server wishing us “Happy Anniversary” to the welcome sign on the table and the complimentary glass of champagne, it was an evening to remember. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was very romantic with a wonderful pianist adding the perfect touch. We will definitely return to this hidden treasure!!

I just went to Glen Rock Mill Inn with my dad and grandpa for Father's Day. It was a lovely experience. The staff were very kind, we sat in the fountain room which was a delightful ambience, we did the five course meal and everything we tried was absolutely incredible. We had a very memorable time at the Inn. Thank you!

My wife and I decided to finally visit The Glen Rock Mill Inn for our anniversary as we had heard many wonderful things about it. I only wish that our overall experience had been better as it did not live up to its reputation. Pros: The dining room and ambiance were very nice with limited seating and a generally quiet time. The pianist was a real plus and he even played our wedding song for us! I also appreciated that we were not rushed and they were not trying to rush us out and turn over the table to the next guests. Cons: Given the relative expense of the food we were expecting better quality. We both ordered from the prix fixe menu with my wife ordering the filet mignon (there was an upcharge for the filet but that wasn't the issue.) When the filet was served it was apparent that it was prepared sous vide and had 2 issues. First was that they barely finished the filet on the grill as there were no real grill marks to show finishing. Second is that the filet was mushy, perhaps the sous vide bag failed and the kitchen hoped that we wouldn't notice. The next issue was the service provided by our waiter. It started out well but worsened as the evening progressed. We had to remind him each time that he had not brought out the intermezzo courses as it was clear that he forgot. When my wife ordered another glass of wine he had to ask us what she was drinking (fortunately I remembered.) And to top off the evening he completely forgot to bring me the espresso that I had ordered with dessert as we received the check and I reminded him about the espresso. He offered to bring it then but given that we had completed our dessert I declined. He then remarked that it was probably better that I didn't get the espresso as theirs wasn't any good and I wouldn't have liked it. Perhaps it was an off night for the server and kitchen staff but for the cost of the meal we expected so much better.
