Our server was very knowledgeable and able to tell us what could be prepared gluten free off the top of his head. The whipped feta app was outstanding and unusual. We loved both our beef and broccoli entree (not gf) and the cod. Service was great all around. Love this place! Is a must when visiting vail.

Exquisite Valentine’s day lunch! Very tasty food, great ambience and beautiful view on the creek.

The Spanish Octopus and Iberian Duroc Pork were simply divine. The Whipped Feta was a novelty but at the end of the day, it was just a lump of feta cheese and can be missed. The Sticky Toffee Pudding cake was delicious but a little too sweet for my taste. All of the food were presented beautifully. As for the service, it was prompt and attentive. However, I didn't like the fact that the restaurant added a 3% surcharge to the bill for "staff pay". That seemed cheesy. I would have preferred that 3% to be included in the menu prices instead of a separate line item. Overall, I would still recommend Sweet Basil for special occasions.

French onion lasagna with the black truffle add-on was delicious. The duck entree was really good, very rich in flavor with basically no seasonings or spices, just the duck, celery root and orange. I'd definitely get both dishes again.

The food was knocked down, drag out. Even at altitude in which my wife could barely smell or breathe she enjoyed every minute of it. We would go back poor service and all. Because the food was that good. That’s it.

Food was amazing but service was seriously lacking for how nice of a place this is and what our expectations were for the evening based on WOM. Waited close to 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, which was not a big deal since the hostess offered us a complimentary drink, but even then our waiter felt like he was in the weeds the whole evening and we were his after thought. We tried to order an app but were told he wouldn’t put it in without the rest of our dinner order, and because he was so busy, was probably 30 minutes after being seated. After not being seated on time combined with slow service, it just felt like the whole restaurant’s service was disjointed and not on par with what one of the top recommended restaurants in vail should be at

Respectable but not memorable food. Drinks (gin and tonic) had to be returned.
