Whatever the occasion, our team of Chefs relish the challenge of creating dishes that our diners will love every time they visit – whether you’re an old friend of The Sweeney or visiting us for the first time.

The Sweeney works continually with suppliers and local producers in Shropshire, Mid Wales and the surrounding areas to use only the best ingredients, always preferring to source locally where we can.

With a highly creative team we’re always designing new dishes for our ever-changing daily specials, creative event menus and special occasion feasts.

We chose from the earlybird menu. The choice was good and the food was delicious though we found the portions a little too large.

The atmosphere and service really make this place. The food is very good and it is remarkably competitively priced. As usual drinks add to the overall bill but £50 for 2 courses for 2 is pretty good value.

Come for Father's day, as we've been for Sunday lunch before and were blown away by the surroundings and the food. Will be coming back again.....and again.

The recent visit was absolutely lovely, very attentive staff, food delicious and the desserts so yummy, wow. We both very much enjoyed our lunch. Thank you.

As always food delicious, atmosphere fabulous, staff attentive and couldn’t do more. We sat on the covered deck with its outside heaters a pretty lights and watched the sunset while we ate. Just beautiful. Highly recommend.
