Whatever the occasion, our team of Chefs relish the challenge of creating dishes that our diners will love every time they visit – whether you’re an old friend of The Sweeney or visiting us for the first time.

The Sweeney works continually with suppliers and local producers in Shropshire, Mid Wales and the surrounding areas to use only the best ingredients, always preferring to source locally where we can.

With a highly creative team we’re always designing new dishes for our ever-changing daily specials, creative event menus and special occasion feasts.

Hi there the beef was really tough couldn’t cut it, starter beautiful, such a shame, we sent it back and had pork instead

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Sweeney. The roast beef & all the trimmings were very tasty. Staff all lovely. We would definitely recommend.

A really warm welcome. Due to my error I'd only booked 2 places but despite being busy staff were able to sort without any fuss. Food was exceptional and for the quality on offer very reasonably priced. All in all a really enjoyable experience. Will, hopefully, visit again.

The Hall, the location and the wonderful hardworking team were outstanding. Excellent food for both dinner and breakfast. Worth a night away, if not two! Beautiful quiet location surrounded by fields, woods, friendly cows! Congratulations to all at Sweeney Hall for an excellent stay.

The online booking process was simple. The ambience was outstanding, quiet and inviting, and the staff were extremely supportive throughout. I went with 6 family members for my Mothers birthday and the location couldn't have been better. We were there for Sunday lunch and the menu was excellent, one of our party was vegetarian/vegan and their needs were well catered for. My only criticism was that there was no apple pie/crumble, I've always considered it a necessity, but certainly not a show stopper. Of the six attendees, all thoroughly enjoyed the whole package. We will definitely be returning soon.
