Le menu de chez Swan reflète un style britannique moderne, avec des produits locaux de saison, des menus à la carte et des repas après le théâtre disponibles toute la semaine. Lovely setting for Sunday lunch with a view of the river. Friendly and efficient service. But the roast beef Sunday lunch was a bit disappointing - the beef was tough and the carrot was undercooked. Prices are not bad. We enjoyed the meal but better food would have been welcome!

We had heard from friend that it was an enjoyable experience. In our case, overall, it was enjoyable, but the service was less than expected. The setting is right on the river with a great view of Saint Pauls. To start we had Crostini and tapanade that had a plenty of delicious tapenade, but only three small crostini. Our main was the lamb saddle for two, which has a delicious encrusted herb and was more than we could eat.

The Swan is the ideal place to eat before going to a play at the Globe. We made a reservation for 1.5 hours before the play which was just right for the 3 plate meal. The food showed imagination in flavors and presentation and there are a selection of mocktails as well as recommended wine pairings.

Our afternoon tea at the Swan was really great. The views are wonderful and it was our anniversary and our server/host (sadly I can’t remember his name) was extremely warm and thoughtful and went out of his way to make our visit special.

Starters were excellent, main course not so good, waiting staff very good, greeting staff excellent, but restaurant was very noisey (couldn't hear each other talk at times), however overall would probably revisit.

The view, earnestness of the staff, and proximity to Shakespeare's Globe were the best elements. The food was decent, though not exceptional. Though the waitstaff was friendly, they brought us a different table's entrées, then asking us if we'd touched them, swept them away to bring them to the next table's guests. It took a really long time to get our check, nearly making us late to a performance at their own theatre.

My wife and I had an great lunch prior to attending the Globe. The service and food was excellent. Our server was attentive and timely. The food presentation and quality was top notch. We had a very enjoyable lunch.

The Afternoon Tea was wonderful, as well as a great value. The service was very attentive. 2nds on sandwiches were offered, & I was allowed to take home the pretty menu as a souvenir. Would definitely recommend coming here!

We enjoyed Cream Tea at The Swan, between a tour of the Globe Theatre and a matinee performance. Service was very good and food was fresh and very tasty. There was a good selection on our trays, from finger sandwiches to mini-quiches to scones (with clotted cream and strawberry jam) to a selection of sweets. We were offered seconds of the savoury items (finger sandwiches and mini-quiches, which was very generous. The manager (I think) came over to chat with us and made us feel very welcome. He spoke to several patrons while we were there for lunch. It was a treat we don't often have and we were finished in good time to get back to The Globe.
