Situé à quelques minutes du London Bridge et la City of London, à côté du Shakespeare Globe Theater sur la rive sud, le bar et restaurant Swan offre une vue imprenable sur la Tamise et la cathédrale Saint-Paul. Le menu de chez Swan reflète un style britannique moderne, avec des produits locaux de saison, des menus à la carte et des repas après le théâtre disponibles toute la semaine. Swan sert également un thé quotidien très prisé entre midi et 15h30 du lundi au samedi, le dimanche de 14h30 à 15h30 avec une délicieuse sélection de sandwiches faits maison et des gâteaux et des scones fraîchement cuits. Le bar est ouvert toute la journée et sert le déjeuner, des gâteaux faits maison, des repas légers et des repas principaux, ainsi qu'une carte des vins, des cocktails originaux et une sélection de bières faites maison.

Excellent experience - 13 of us with 6 young kids of around 4-6, staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating, lovely F&B, perfect positioning and the new fit-out’s great.

This is such a convenient restaurant for The Globe. Table position was stunning, overlooking the river on a lovely summer’s evening. Service was very good. Choice of wines, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks is good. Food however is lacklustre. A shame given the limited /set menu. Pressed chicken thighs were pretty dry /overcooked and tasteless . Fish also. Salmon starter was ok. Panna cotta also pretty tasteless, made a little less so with some poached peaches. Ten out of ten for location but food needs serious attention.

Very efficient restaurant, well drilled in making sure diners make their theatre show on time. Jolly atmosphere. Good range of menu options and drinks. Fairly priced. Super easy choice if you are going to The Globe.

Interesting menu, delicious food - all fresh, seasonal, well balanced, and the service was very good - all the staff were courteous, efficient and very pleasant and helpful. Our young server was delightful and looked after us beautifully. We had a lovely table by the open windows (warm evening) overlooking the Thames - all a real treat.

Ambience and service were very good. Classic afternoon tea very average. Drinks excellent but food, though visually appealing was unappetising. Cakes slightly dry, scones slightly stale and sandwich fillings could not have been more sparse! Jam and cream was fine. Lovely choice of teas.

Good quality food and, with the River View set menu, good value. However service was 'snooty' and not very friendly, with a focus on up selling. For example we had selected our bottle of wine, because we like malbec. The waiter tried to convince us that a different bottle would be better (having made no effort to find out what we like) and he said only marginally more expensive. That margin was £16 over the already quite pricey £30 of our selection! Shame that the service and up selling tarnished the experience of the really good food and great location.
