The biggest struggle with this place is that you truly want to try everything on the menu! Came to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience. All of the food tastes so fresh and flavorful, and every maki roll we got was incredible. So hard to pick a favorite, but spicy tuna is a top pick.

Sushi San has the freshest fish in town. The Lincoln Park location is no different. Delicious sushi and overall great experience.

Love the interior of this location. Our server, Fern was very friendly and provided us great service. We came in during happy hour and ordered the egg plant tempura, which was so light and crunchy, along with $6 asahi draft and wine, which you can’t miss if you go during happy hour. Overall a great experience and will be back.

Casual, energetic and cool vibe to go with the family or in a group of friends. A great neighborhood spot for excellent sushi!

Lettuce needs to drop the service charge. Prices are already ridiculous and then they tack on a “service” fee. Please stop. It feels exploitive.

Pounding bass rap music flowing out of multiple speakers made it really difficult to enjoy our meal. I did talk to the manager and she said she turned it down, but it was still very uncomfortable. My son was just going to order one item so we could get out of there faster because of the noise level. It’s difficult for servers to hear anything when the noise is that loud. If you’re going to play music, why not choose something that doesn’t have such a heavy bass. Jazz? Pop?

The food was fresh, tasty and enjoyed by the entire party. Service was very good with servers focused on the customer, rather than what the restaurant wants to serve. The noise level makes it challenging to hear people sitting across from you. Overall good experience by all and look forward to returning, though have to be prepared for the noise level. Definitely recommend it!
