From a service standpoint, we had 3 courses of food on our table before our bottle of sake arrived and had to tell the food deliverers to stop delivering as we turned away more food. They use a Toast system that orders your food from the hand held device the server is using at the table as you order. We actually had one item show up at the table as the server was still taking the rest of our order - it’s weird and feels like they are trying to turn tables, making customers feel rushed. Food was a big disappointment and we tried a LOT - I spent $700 for my wife and 3 kids ages 13, 8, and 6. Without boring you with every detail, generally, everything was over oiled including the ponzu sauce for the chef special yellowtail jalapeño (forget the fact that they added spicy mayo to the top of the fish on this dish - big no no for this classic), the mixed fatty tuna roll was chopped and loaded with oil, the salmon chef special was bathing in a plate of oil, the dipping sauce for a mushroom veggie roll (in addition to the roll having a candied sweet item inside that didn’t go with the flavor profile, the tuna on the tuna crisps loaded with oil, and chef even coats all the fish, both nigiri and sashimi, in oil so they have a glistening appearance on presentation. I found out the chef was at Sai Cafe many years ago, another Lincoln Park sushi restaurant to avoid. I expected more from a Lettuce Entertainment restaurant but maybe therein lies the problem. We live in Lincoln Park and were excited for something new in the hood, but won’t be back. Spend a few mins in the car and head down to Momotaro in the west loop.

Great sushi, with a wide variety of options. Actually left full. The Megatron is much more food than one would think.

We didn’t enjoy sushi-San at river north and it was the exact experience here. The sushi didn’t stand out at all and the only appetizer we enjoyed was the shishito peppers.

One of my favorite new spots in LP. Amazing service, food and drinks are outstanding and the ambiance is awesome. Crispy rice is a must and cocktails are 10/10. Great happy hour deal during the week, too!

I LOVE Suhsi San! Especially their happy hour! The Sake-San is my go to, along with the tuna maki! A must try (not on happy hour but VERY worth it) is the spicy scallop roll!

The Happy Hour is great. You can get a lot for $5 each. Service was wonderful. Noise level was very high. We were seating next to a group of young women having a lot of fun which I am all for but made our own conversation very difficult (maybe just be aware when seating a couple next to a large group). Overall loved it and will be back!

Sat us 30 minutes late because tables weren’t getting up and said they would give us a comped appetizer which was only steamed edamame. Not a good enough comp for the inconvenience of being sat at 9pm
