Sushi Kashiba is Seattle's destination for Japanese fine dining at its highest level. Located right next to historic Pike Place Market. Take a coveted seat at the Omakase sushi bar, where you just might find multi-James Beard Award nominated Chef Shiro Kashiba hard at work.

Ordering one of Sushi Kashiba's chef curated sushi dinners is probably your best bet. The cuts of salmon, toro, tuna, yellowtail and other fish are always fresh and beautifully presented. The meal is finished off with Sushi Kashiba's trademark cake-like egg dessert. The restaurant also features à la carte items like agedashi tofu, oysters on the half shell and Chef Kashiba's New York Times featured black cod kasuzuke.

Spectacular service and food, omakase for two. Also a deliciously light sake cocktail to start and yummy sancerre to complement our seven courses. An indulgence to remember.

Our sushi chef Jonathan was amazing, fantastic, the best Salt Bae ever. Appreciated his professional banter and indulging us with some insight into the profession. Would highly recommend the sushi counter experience, we had a great time!

Really wanted to love this after waiting so long to go, but it just didn’t even come close to other $200+ omakase dinners we’ve done. The pace was way too fast where they served us 21 courses in less than an hour where you weren’t even done chewing one before they gave you the next course, a guy kept vacuuming right behind me and under my chair, and overall the quality just wasn’t anything special. All of the normal ambiance of an omakase was missing and felt more like pigs at a trough. Not even a towel to wipe your hands at the end.

At this price points, we had high expectations, however the sushi was just OK. We did a la carte, a variety of nigiri, two rolls and the chicken karaage. The highlights were the marinated tuna nigiri and chicken karaage. The rice unfortunately did not have the correct sushi consistency and the rolls fell apart upon eating. The service was excellent however and they were very accommodating. We are big sushi fans, travel frequently and unfortunately we left underwhelmed.

While we waited for our seats at the sushi bar, the maître d' was able to seat us at the bar, where the bartender made excellent sake recommendations for the evening. Once we were at the sushi bar, Christophe did a fantastic job preparing and explaining our tasty sushi as well as keeping a great pacing of the pieces of sushi so that we never felt rushed or wanting. The entire waiting staff helped clear dishes, refill our sake cups and bring in our soup course promptly and politely, the care in service was warm and welcoming and really made us enjoy our sushi dinner even more. We travelled across the country to enjoy world class sushi at Sushi Kashiba, and we were not disappointed, it was amazing!

There is nothing vegetarian on the menu and they don’t have Diet Coke. We had a reservation and had to wait forever to be seated. The restaurant feels crammed and the noise level was unbearable. The value is also terrible and my needs were not well accommodated.
