Sushi Kashiba is Seattle's destination for Japanese fine dining at its highest level. Located next to historic Pike Place Market. Take a coveted seat at the Omakase sushi bar, where you just might find multi-James Beard Award nominated Chef Shiro Kashiba holding court.

Most guests order one of Sushi Kashiba's chef curated sushi dinners. The mix of fresh local fish as well as delicacies from Japan and around the world will satisfy the palette of seasoned sushi fans as well as new entrants into the sushi world. We also feature à la carte items like agedashi tofu, oysters on the half shell and Chef Kashiba's New York Times featured black cod kasuzuke. Welcome to Sushi Kashiba.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Star chef Shiro Kashiba is credited with introducing Edomae-style sushi to the city, and Seattleites still flock to this Pike Place Market spot to see him work his magic. Trained under sushi legend Jiro Ono, Kashiba puts out plates of broiled black cod, tempura vegetables, seafood salad, and more—all informed by Pacific Northwest seafood and produce. Truly excellent sushi with wonderful service. I gave 4 stars overall because of the price. Our bill was almost $700 for two people with tip and sake/wine. That’s a bit high.

Was lucky enough to have chef Shiro himself. Every bite was exquisite! It's an experience and excellent meal.

It is an awesome experience, definitely a must, at least a once in a lifetime thing to do: if it is cheaper I would go there frequently. I had a counter seat and it was an entertainment together with a discovering new tastes. I think we were served 19 sushis and 2 soups and one desert. I was so impressed by the quality of fish and seafood and the way it was served, the chef was creating sushis right in front of our group. Actually there were 3 or 4 chefs working together. Nice experience, as I mentioned above I'd go there again if the price is cheaper. And maybe I'd go a la carte next time as I figured out which sushi I like more. The front desk helped me to get a cab back to my hotel, I appreciate their help a lot! Oh by the way, the cabs do not stop by the restaurant's door, you must walk to the restaurant a block or so, and the restaurant's sign is not very visible from aside, to get to the entrance of the restaurant, you must walk up the stairs.

An exceptional dining experience with outstanding seafood quality. The fish was incredibly fresh, and our chef demonstrated remarkable skill and hospitality. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who appreciates premium seafood.

Brandon was a spectacular server! Our food was unbelievably great. I don't have any other way to describe how good the omakase and sake pairing was.
