**Welcome to Sushi Hakko on Union St. + Fillmore St.**
We'd like to offer our tasting menu that's reflecting Chef Alex Kim and his team's pursuit of top notch sushi experience. Our approach is a harmonious crossover of authentic Edo-mae style with Western skill. From fish to rice, cooking rice to garnish prep - a true synergy of not only Californian but Japan.

**Sushi Bar Experience**
For the best experience of our tasting menu, we'd recommend the sushi bar seating, where chef will serve and explain the dish by dish, piece by piece with an extensive information of the skills and ingredients.

**Regular Tables**
Our regular tables are also available for the tasting menu and you can make a reservation at any time slot to your convenience.

Get a taste of Hakko Omakase with more privacy. At this table-side setting, you will get to experience of the omakase tasting menu in more convenient way. We sat at the sushi bar. The food was tremendous and we really enjoyed hearing from the chef about his inspiration for the restaurant and for each dish. I highly recommend

I thought all their nigiri pieces were really small. All of them tasted similar. There wasn’t any dish that really wowed me.

Outstanding service, incredible and perfectly curated omakase from start to finish, without a doubt the best meal of the year. Sushi Hakko is hands down my husbands and my favorite place to enjoy omakase. Chef Alex is so talented and we feel so grateful to have such a wonderful experience every time. Sushi Hakko has the perfect ambience to celebrate special occasions. Their attention to detail is impeccable from the selection of fishes, to the best and biggest truffles, to noticing my husband is left handed and switching their chopsticks to special left handed ones. Five stars all around! Im salivating just thinking of the meal we had.

Easily the most disappointing Omakase experience I've ever had. So much so that I have to imagine something was "wrong" at the establishment that evening. The food itself was meh, some good pieces but nothing impressive, and a number of bad by any standards courses. The tables were wobbly, drinks glasses were dirty, and the hostess failed to tell us what we were given for half of the dishes. One of the wines that came out was corked.
