Holy moly, how did I not know this place existed? I don't think I've ever responded to a restaurant advertisement on Instagram, but I'm glad I did for Sushi Endo! My gf and I joined the chef, staff, and eleven other eaters for a lovely 16 course Omakase dinner. My gf asked me, two thirds of the way through the meal, which course has been my favorite. My response was "Every one we get is my new favorite." We sprung for two additional courses: uni and wagyu. No regrets. During the final, dessert course the chef, having made lively conversation with guests while preparing our meals, left from behind the bar to grab an electric guitar off the wall, adorn a brown leather cowboy hat and began wailing classic blues rock tunes while we all enjoyed the flavors and the show! Coolest intimate eating experience in Austin. Hands down. 🤠

Fantastic omakase experience in a very intimate setting. We went at 8pm on a Thursday night and from the moment we entered the restaurant, the experience was personal, curated and exceptional. We had the fortune of being seated at the sushi bar directly in front of Chef Endo himself, and he was absolutely wonderful. One of our favorite date nights - the service, food and ambiance were amazing. We will definitely be back.

We loved our dinner at Sushi Endo. The food is fantastic, but the highlight is Chef Endo and the team.

Chef Endo is a sweet man passionate about his craft. Frankly, he may be the only sushi chef in Austin who felt humble and genuine to me. The service was outstanding, which in general is also hard to find in Austin right now. However, I will say the vibe is a miss. It’s not casual enough to be hole in the wall funky strip mall joint but it’s not nice enough to be worthy of 5 stars. It’s lost in that middle trying too hard but not hitting the mark place. There are a lot of omakase offerings in this town right now and I think this one is one of the few worthy of our money. Forget the self important created exclusivity of not being able to get reservations that similar restaurants have manufactured for food that isn’t as good. Come here, let chef Endo play music and prepare food for you, and let’s help something that has the seeds of an all around 5 star experience grow to its full potential.

Not sure how hidden it still is, but a hidden gem nonetheless. Chef and staff exude personableness and felt more likely eating amazing sushi+ in someone's home vs. at a restaurant.

The Omakase experience Chef Endo curates is 1 of 1 the staff from the host, bartender and Sui Chef were absolutely world class! Of course the main event was all the wonderfully crafted courses each bite was phenomenal! Highly recommend this experience!

Chef Endo was extremely kind and fun to talk to! I also loved several dishes and fishes I don’t typically like (tamago and mackerel). We can’t afford it often, but our experience was 10/10!
