Chef Ford Fry and Chef Kevin Maxey, together designed a “Mex-Tex” menu that plays to their own Texan roots, tracing the beginnings of the cuisine to the 1930s, when Mexican cooks first doctored up their dishes to suit a “Gringo” palate with Americanized elements, giving birth to the Tex-Mex dialogue. “Kevin and I wanted to do food we like to eat,” Fry said. “It’s natural for a chef to want to be true to a certain culture, and likewise, we wanted to do authentic Tex-Mex, because it developed where we’re from.

We had dinner at Superica on Saturday evening. It was very loud, the service was very slow. The food was ok, not worth the wait.

Superica is one of our favorite casual spots in Charlotte. A little pricey for similar food choices in town, but the quality is better. The ambience is great, but a little loud for my taste. I will definitely be back and would recommend

Great server and hostess. Staff (including kitchen) was overwhelmed with the amount of patrons. Waited an >hour for our food - delicious as always!

Delicious from start to finish. Enjoyed a creamy holiday cinnamon cocktail, chips, salsa, and hot queso, then steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas for two. Everything was exceptionally delicious and perfectly prepared. This was our second time dining there. We absolutely love it and will be returning this weekend when Family comes into town for the holiday. Our server was also phenomenal!

I ordered chicken fajitas for my entre. The tortillas that they brought were cold, dry, and tough. And the size of the pours in our glasses of wine were pitiful. Then, on top of that, when we closed out our bill, they charged a higher price per glass of wine than what was on the menu. This happens to be illegal in North Carolina. It's a violation of state retail laws. If you don't believe that, just read up on the thousands of dollars in fines levied during 2024 against Family Dollar, Target, Dollar General, Sheetz, and Walgreens by state inspectors for overcharging customers at checkout. I hope Superica's management understands the liability they're creating for themselves.

Awesome evening with friends ! Kim our waitress is top notch ! Extremely pleased, we travel from York (Lake Wiley), well worth every minute of the drive. !

Our experience was somewhat comical. I’m not sure what happened but there seemed to be a breakdown in service at the bar. Our expectation was to have hot food and cold drinks served at the same time. That didn’t happen. While we waited for our drinks the food got cold. What we tasted when it was warm was good. It took 35 minutes to get drinks even though there were five bartenders working behind the bar. Our server did the best she could but we knew she was upset about what was happening. We asked to see the manager and she came by and was apologetic and comped the meal which we appreciated. We left our server a cash tip because whatever was going on wasn’t her fault. Timing is critical in food service and they just weren’t able to get that part right which made for an unfortunate situation.
