Sunnys Chinese is inspired by high energy dining cultures found throughout China tied with the history of the space in Kensington Market - a place you discover with friends. From Shaokao spots in Chengdu and Xi’An to Dai Pai Dongs in Hong Kong, the team looks to regional traditions to create an experience that’s casual and playful. D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Niché à l'intérieur du marché de Kensington, Sunnys est issu de l'établissement chinois haut de gamme MIMI. C'est un lieu décontracté et charmant, avec des carreaux rose pastel, des tables vert menthe et des porte-baguettes en forme de panda. Les nouilles sont agrémentées de piments, la crème glacée molle est proposée dans des saveurs amusantes, et ne manquez pas le pain perdu de Hong Kong, tous dignes de son statut de Bib Gourmand Michelin.

Love Sunny's Chinese! This was our third time there and the best so far. The cocktails are outstanding. The wine was great. The food terrific. And the space is all it's own.

Blown away by every dish! Service was excellent. Drinks were delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Such an excellent meal. The staff members were all gracious and helpful, the atmosphere was chill without being too much, and the food and drinks were off the charts! We had the Chef's Choice tasting menu, and it was ALL so good. A favorite is the Dan Dan Noodle, but for instance, the Typhoon Shelter Squid was great - not tough, and so flavorful. The Shaokao Special was well matched with the tiger salad. The squash and fried lotus root was lovely. Will definitely go back!!

The service was excellent. The food was even better. The amount of flavour the chef's pack into each bite exquisite.

To get to the point I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I want to come back to try different dishes. For this night I have tried 4 dishes mushroom+egg tofu, husband and wife beef, orange chicken and HK French toast. I think the highlight of the night was the French toast. It was a delight and it was not too sweet. Also mushroom + egg tofu was game changer amongst other dishes where it smooth out other dishes when their mala hit too much. Husband and wife beef was good but some may dislike the fact that the meat being cold even if you anticipate it but I liked it a lot. Orange chicken was nicely done but as a Korean it was something that were reminiscent of other dishes but still well executed.

100% the best chinese restaurant in the city Every food was amazing! Black sesame french toast and soft serve were my favourite And the server was super kind especially the manager(who wearing kinda formal suit)’s service looks so professional

The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive, which made the experience pleasant. The food was decent, but for the price, I expected better, I felt the quality didn’t quite match the price. You can find better options in Markham with more flavor and better prices. While the ambiance and service are nice, the food doesn’t quite live up to the hype. It’s overpriced, and as much as the place is nice, I wouldn’t recommend it.
