Inspired by a lifetime of culinary and culturally immersed travel throughout Southeast Asia, our owners developed the Sunda concept to celebrate the beautiful blend of cultures found on the Sunda Shelf, a landmass, today submerged under shallow seas, that was once surrounded by the many different countries and cultures we celebrate at Sunda today like Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, China and more.

At Sunda, we pride ourselves on taking classic, culturally-important dishes from all over this region and modernizing each one by upgrading ingredients, cooking techniques and presentation to create a tasting experience that is completely new while still retaining the deep-rooted spirit of the original.

Guests can also enjoy a beverage program that offers an impressive list of premium sakes, Asian beers, red, white and sparkling wines as well as seasonally inspired cocktails.

Honestly, pretty decent Asian fusion. Ambiance and aestethic was the best Will I return? Probably not. Didn't wow me enough to think about a future reservation. Good luck to them tho!

Service was horrible. Sat at bar before our table was ready. I never was able to get a drink bc the waitress was too busy flirting with the man next to us. Literally for 10 min. Then when we were seated. There was a delay with our drinks each time due to a backup at the bar… well I wonder why.

The service was slow and for such a nice restaurant I was extremely disappointed. Our reservation was for 8:15 and we were not seated until almost 9:00pm! The food was amazing but the service really impacted my experience there.

First time trying here for our 8 year anniversary and was not disappointed. Entire night was a 10/10 from the food to the service to the ambiance/vibes. They even included a little desert to celebrate us. It was truly a great experience and will 100% be back again. Recommend trying the crispy rice wagyu, crab noodles, crazy rice, panda roll & escolar “the great white” with the black truffle on top. Every plate was outstanding.

We went to Sunda for a special occasion with a group of 7 and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Right away, our waiter was knowledgeable of what we were celebrating and had lots of great food and drink recommendations without hesitation. They checked in every couple minutes, the staff constantly refilled our waters, changed our plates between rounds of food, and was overall as good of service as I’ve ever experienced. For drinks, the table ordered the Aki Sour (like a Whiskey Sour), Grass Tiger (somewhere between a Jalepeno Margarita and a Moscow Mule), Lychee Simoy, and the Lost in Translation (like a Manhattan). The Grass Tiger and Lost in Translation were the fan favorites. We started with the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Tiger Shrimp Tempura, and the Oxtail Potstickers. All 3 were so delicious and good portion sizes, we even ordered more shrimp tempura later on. Next, we got Steamed Buns (both Pork Belly and Fried Chicken) and the Crispy Rice (Wagyu and Spicy Tuna). The Wagyu crispy rice is my favorite dish in the entire city. Round 3, we got the Yellowtail Jalepeno, Crazy Rice, the Red Dragon roll, and the Lobster Wagyu roll. All were amazing. We ordered another Red Dragon Roll because it was so good, but that was before we tried the Lobster Wagyu which just melted in your mouth and was unbelievably good. For dessert, we got the “Ridiculous” which is a large scoop of ice cream covered in carrot cake batter and with some candied walnuts. It lived up to its name and didn’t last very long before we ate it all lol. I can’t wait to come back.

Another restaurant that overbooks with reservations. We waited almost 40 mins for our table to be ready. The restaurant did not accommodate or even care to make it right. Horrible service - especially the hostess.

Great service— our server at our table was amazing— and good ambiance, but the menu feels confused and food for quality is way overpriced. Their signature is the sticky rice with tuna and/or wagyu and it was so mealy the texture was not appetizing. The yellowtail jalapeño cilantro garlic, yuzu ponzu cut on the yellowtail was shameful. With all the great options in the area, I will not be eating fish/sushi here ever again. Also, there as a massive spider on one of the chandeliers in the entry, low enough to get on someone’s head. We politely told the staff but it remained there the entire 2 hrs we wined and dined. While this wasn’t really an issue, it highlighted the lack of taking initiative or ability to solve problems with the staff. Felt like a chain restaurant, sadly.
