The Summit is located in Christiansburg, Virginia and offers gourmet, made-from-scratch food in a Victorian setting. This restaurant considers customer service a high priority and will ensure you enjoy your meal there. Every plate is prepared with care, featuring carefully chosen ingredients and made just for you. The Summit has a diverse menu with Mediterranean, Italian, Indian and Continental cuisine.

Start with an appetizer, such as the calamari, scallops or stuffed mushrooms. For the entrée course at The Summit, there are many popular options. Try the crab cakes with cream sauce over angel hair pasta, New York strip with gorgonzola and mashed potatoes or the chicken breast stuffed with apricots, raisins and mushrooms.

We did not get seated. Overbooked. This appears to be an issue with Open Table bookings. The same thing happened at a completely different restaurant in a different state months ago. I’ll think twice before I book using your app in the future.

The wait staff was very nice and attentive. The food was not as good. Some of our parties meals were cold, and my husband’s filet was very over cooked and questionable if it was even a filet. I feel the meals were way over priced,at $60 per person, for the quality we received. Sister Schubert rolls, and a package of Knor’s sauce package aren’t what I expected for the price. The restaurant was in a lovely old house that needed a lot of work. The hand rails were falling apart, the outside deck had exposed nails and numerous tripping hazards. Also bathroom door handle was loose and needed attention, wasn’t sure if someone was going to walk in on me. We were there early in the day and the bathroom trash can was already over flowing. We are from out of town and in our state restaurants have to post their health inspection report, we didn’t see one posted.

We dined at the restaurant during Virginia Tech's graduation weekend. The restaurant informed us the menu was fixe prix when we arrived (it was not posted on Open Table). The service was low. The food was very good when it arrived at our table.

We got there and had a reservation for 7pm. Did not get seated until 7:30. No one was at the host stand until 7:15. Did not see a server until almost 8 and then waited until 8:40 to get our food. Which was burnt and cold and lacked ingredients listed in the menu. Will not being going back.

Ate here before and loved it. This time was understaffed and dinner took 3 hours. 30 minutes just to be brought to our table. No tables bussed. I felt bad for the 2 waiters. They were doing it all. But if you do not have the staff to cover the evening you should choose not to open that night. Too expensive for that experience. Regarding the food, most was okay but the lobster was rubbery and risotto was just really bad rice. No need to go back.

Highly recommend! Matt was a phenomenal server. It was the most tender lobster I have ever eaten! Also, the presentation of the food was divine!

Went for Valentine’s Day special menu, which was a bit costly, but well worth it. The food, service and atmosphere were great.

In making our reservation we advised that we were celebrating our anniversary. There was no acknowledgment of this at all. I had also asked if the menu was Pre Fixed and was told no it was not. When we arrived we were given a Pre Fixed menu. We were very disappointed in the selections. After being seated our waiter took the menus almost immediately and we really hadn’t had time to look at them. There were candles on each table with 3 of the 6 tables lit. We had finished our entrees and were waiting on our desserts when they came around and lit the remaining candles. The room that we were seated in was nice but very crowded. My wife ordered filet mignon, medium rare. She received it and it was way over cooked. It set on mashed potatoes that she said had a vinegar taste. I had ordered the crab cakes. My meal was very tasty. My wife had key lime pie and it also was delicious. I had ordered crem brûlée and it left a strange aftertaste. We were 2 hours away from this restaurant and wanted to celebrate in an upscale restaurant. We were somewhat disappointed and will not return.
