Each time we dine at Sullivans a manager stops by to ask about our experience. I believe management leads by example which, as a patron, is much appreciated. Staff are well trained and quite knowledgeable. The food is consistently excellent.

The King Crab legs were amazing, but the crab cake was disappointing. The one we received looked different from the picture on OpenTable and had fewer crab chunks and crab meat and a lot more filler. Additionally, it was served lukewarm and cold in some spots. Our waiter did not check on us so we could tell him. When we inquired about the bread he forgot to bring us, he made up some excuse about the ovens, although we had just seen another loaf come out for another table. The manager made her rounds by our table but did not even ask if our food was to our liking. For what we paid, we were disappointed.

Our server, Amber, was fantastic. She explained the menu and attentive throughout our dinner. Walter was very nice .during our table side chat. This was our first time and not our last. Celebrating our son’s 16th birthday at your establishment was memorable.

We had a long lunch to catch up on news with and old friend. The food was excellent, and our waiter, Bruce, was perfect. His timing and looking after us was spot on- reminded me of the good old days before mobile phones and computerised monitoring, etc. started replacing the common sense, training and experience of those humans who enjoyed their work.

It was my birthday and we enjoyed their special of Australian wagyu tomahawk beef with lobsters and a bottle of wine for 2 and it was glorious! Perfection! Also, the oysters were fresh fresh fresh which is difficult to do in the desert.

Service was very good. We had appetizers, steaks and a side dish. The steaks were cooked to perfection but unfortunately both steaks were overly salted. You can select from several house made steak sauces. We both chose the béarnaise sauce but requested to put on the side not on the steak. Thank goodness as this béarnaise sauce was lacking in flavor of a well prepared tarragon-shallot-infused hollandaise béarnaise sauce and somewhat bitter. Putting this béarnaise sauce on the steaks would have totally ruined these overly salty steaks. The bread was good. Waitress asked if we wanted to look at the dessert menu. We told her no but it wasn’t that we weren’t interested in ordering a desert but felt that we would probably be disappointed so better off skipping a dessert than being disappointed. There are other quality steak restaurants in Tucson so will be skipping Sullivan’s Steakhouse.

The service was ok. The food quality is as not as good as before. Flemings have better service and their steak is by far better, The restaurant was not busy yet it took a while to get our steak served. The steak was mediocre for the price.
