A nice new restaurant in Tuscaloosa. Limited menu on game weekends, but all of our food was excellent, huge portions and reasonably priced. Nice bar and cocktails as well. Our server Gannon was great and the food came out quickly. Be aware they have a 1.5 hour dining limit on game weekends, but we never felt rushed and I think that is reasonable to keep their wait time down.

Sugo is a great addition to Tuscaloosa. Food and service were great. We’ll be back for sure.

Let me start by saying the owner tried to help as much as possible. However, this restaurant is beyond a hot mess. We made a reservation (which would have cost me $20 per person if I canceled) and we confirmed. But, then we had to wait 30 minutes. The manager said they double sat the restaurant because they were expecting no shows. In a nutshell, we were there 3 hours just for dinner (not because we wanted to be). They were short staffed and told us after our appetizers that it would be at least another hour before our entrees came out. They comped our appetizers. Two entrees were sold out by the time they tried to make them. One was pasta. How does an Italian restaurant run out of one of their pastas? When we went to check out, they over charged us because they claimed the comped items didn't come off the check when they split the charge. This place is simply not ready to be open. Food was ok. It's appalling how they made me use a credit card to guarantee a reservation but this was the result of being tethered to this place. Avoid.

Our game day lunch was perfect. Excellent service, delicious food, and a great location with plenty of free parking nearby. Too early for cocktails for our group, but they sound yummy. Will be back again.

Best Italian in Tuscaloosa. Much better than DePalma’s. Portions were good. Bruschetta and toasted ravioli were good appetizers. Had the Chicken Parm that was a good portion and flavorful.

Eggplant was frozen in the middle and hard on the edges. Microwaved from the freezer. Service was slow. Very disappointed.
