At Half Moon Resort we are committed to sourcing locally grown and seasonal produce. The Sugar Mill Restaurant is as historic as it is iconic. You will be overcome by a sense of awe as you enter the former Running Gut Estate. It is nestled in an alcove beside a 17th century water mill. You can feel the history within the existing walls that once served as the foundation of a sugar cane plantation dating back to 1676.

Lovely birthday restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and excellent food (best we had in MoBay). Wish they had stronger fans because the open air atmosphere was too hot, even at 10pm.

Beautiful surroundings, excellent service and delicious food. We wanted somewhere quiet and with great food rather than the all inclusive and we chose here. Best steak I’ve had and superb service. Attentive but not over powering. You get what you pay for and it was worth the money. For a couple it cost us just over $230 including tip and it was well worth it. The only downfalls was it was isn’t very well ventilated/ no air conditioning as it is in the grounds of the golf club and it was hot and sticky. Despite this, the grounds are stunning, the ambiance is romantic calm and peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. If you are in a local all inclusive, this place is far superior and would be perfect for your special occasions. My birthday was fab. Thank you!

Hands down the best service I have ever received across any industry in any country and I’ve travelled to many. As a local, not every time you will receive the same level of service a tourist gets but this establishment is different. I went there with my family of 3 for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we sat down, we felt received and cared for. Words cannot describe the service provided by our server Daniel. We felt like he could read minds actually 😅. He knew when to intervene and how to make everything convenient and serve our every need even if we didn’t speak. I feel like we didn’t even need to speak at all and we would still get a 10/10 service. Everyone can learn something from him including myself. The atmosphere is also relaxing. Jamaica’s finest.

From getting picked up at the hotel to walking out the door to return, everything was 5 Stars. Clement, our driver, was funny and super knowledgeable about the property. We were greeted 3x on the wall in, and shown to our table by the extremely friendly and welcoming Samantha. Our servers were great, especially Daniel. The ambience, property, food were beyond expectations. The dips to start were delicious, our seafood sampler was spectacular. My wife had the salmon and scallops and thought it was one of the best meals she's ever had. My jerk short rib, Daniel's recommendation, was phenomenal. They remembered our anniversary and brought out a complimentary dessert with a decorated plate. Next visit, I would set an earlier time to appreciate the property in the daylight.
