Sud Forno Temperance is housed in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of the financial district with soaring ceilings, custom-designed mosaic floors and installations that celebrate farming and our philosophy of Materia Prima. We invite you to come and enjoy our full-service restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner. Here we serve a number of traditional Italian dishes not found on the Terroni menu alongside well-loved Terroni classics. There is an elegant and intimate dining space on the second floor, as well as vibrant and bright dining space on the main floor. Come experience our Aperitivo hour daily from 4PM with signature cocktails, live DJ on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and stuzzichini.
In the spring and summer months, choose to dine on our lush garden patio where you are transported away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown core.

    Celebrate golden hour with us at Sud Forno Temperance in the heart of the financial district! From Monday to Friday from 4PM to 7PM, the ground floor space below our Osteria da Geppetto restaurant is transformed into the perfect aperitivo spot, bathed in glowing candlelight and complete with stuzzichini, hand-crafted Italian cocktails and an extensive Italian wine list. We have a live DJ on Wednesday and Thursday nights starting January 17th. Click here to reserve your spot in advance or pop-in with a few friends! Walk-ins are always welcome.

    I don't mind spending more but expect to at least get good value for what I pay. This my 2nd visit within one month. Previous visit was a better experience. It wasn't as noisy then, the exact same meal cost less and it tasted better on that initial visit. It was super noisy and majority of the tables are extremely snugged beside each other - we were practically rubbing shoulders with the people next to us. Definitely not thrilled about the menu also the absence of balsamic vinegar with the bread and olive oil. P.S - Funny that others had the same disappointed comments but I doubt anyone ever says anything. Anyways, gave it a fair shot twice but nothing there to make me a repeat customer.

    We went at right time so service was quick and waitress was very attentive. Food was also very good.

    Total disaster. Couldn't deliver food to table. Had to cancel order and leave restaurant after 1 hour and 2 minutes being in our seats.

    Food was delicious! Had the calamari, pizza and tagliatelle bolognese, all very tasty and delicious. While our server was very nice, the service was slow. I think she had way too many tables to serve and it was peak dinner time. We mentioned having to leave by a certain time to attend a show, and our food was expedited. As it was freezing cold and we ordered dessert, we also felt like a cappuccino - well 20 minutes after we ordered we were still waiting! Bartender who also makes the coffee was just extremely slow paced!!! Had to cancel the order to leave as we were late. Made it to the show with 5 minutes to spare. Maybe would try again without having a time crunch.

    Service was great! However the food was so so and highly overpriced, for 3 pasta plates our bill was $100 plus! That is insane. Additionally you may want to consider sound dampening, it is way too loud, you cannot have even a loud conversation and hear what your fellow diners are saying.

    The service was the worst I’ve ever had a a Terroni restaurant. The server was unattentive, ignored us, he didn’t care at all and we had to flag staff down for everything. We were there 15 min before drink orders and 30 min before food orders. The food took 45 min to come out. It was the worst service we have had in years. Maybe ever. Their excuse was “it was unexpectedly busy”. I will never go back. At least the food was ok.

    Service is extremely slow and management takes no responsibility. Took over 1 hour to receive pasta. Told server we had to go and they did not comp anything. The pasta came right as we were leaving. There was a lineup to settle the bills. Huge operational issues at this restaurant - would not recommend.
