Succotash PRIME is a progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award winner Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern Steakhouse menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified, and passed from generation to generation for centuries. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

Our server Angel made us feel welcomed and had good suggestions for dinner. Very happy with our meals pork ribs and chicken and waffles. Thank you for a great evening.

Tl;dr: food was amazing. Table service was great. Front end and bartenders left a LOT to be desired. Food was honestly well well above expectations. Service at the table was excellent. Front end service and the bar were not so good. We had a reservation for 730, walked in at 740, and they had mistakenly given our table to someone else. We then proceeded to wait 45 minutes at the bar to be seated while several other parties of 4 were seated in front of us. While at the bar, we had a bartender come by, take half our order, then walk away bc the printer at the service bar was spitting out tickets. He said he’d have the other bartender help us but he never came over. Eventually he came back and took the rest of our order. Not an ideal experience but the food was so good I’d go back. Skirt steak for the win by the way.

We were celebrating my husband's book release at a restaurant and were initially seated on the first floor near the door. I asked the host if we could sit upstairs, but she said all the tables there were booked. However, a few minutes later, the group sitting next to us requested to move upstairs, and the host accommodated them. This was disappointing and felt unfair, especially during such a special occasion for us. The situation was not acceptable, and it left us feeling upset. I believe it's important to bring this to the attention of the restaurant's management to express our concerns and seek an explanation, as this feedback could help improve their customer service.

Fantastic ambiance. A little on the cold side with the AC. Food was goo. Everyone in my party enjoyed their selections those selections were the chicken and waffles, the shrimp and grits, the barbecue pork ribs, and the catfish. Of all the dishes, all of them were good, I think the catfish was the least impressive.

The garlic smashed potatoes were delicious, but could be better whipped. The interior was classy but way too loud. The service was welcoming and prompt. The dishes hit the spot.

Not very impressed with the food. As a southerner, this is mid at best and is overpriced due to the area. The restaurant is nice but would suggest people go elsewhere for food at this price point.

My birthday was seated eating appetizers and drinks before 3pm and was on another round of drinks at 330pm and we were told we have to eat off the dinner menu. They would not honor the $30 price per person that was quoted. We closed out our bill and went to Smiths.

Beautiful place across from the Riggs Hotel. The restaurant is an old bank and it feels so open with very high ceilings. We had the southern breakfast and loved it! The deviled eggs were delicious, arugula salad with friend green tomatoes also excellent. I loved the the shrimp with polenta and my sister loved the fried chicken with waffles. The service was excellent. We will go back again when we’re back in Washington! - a wonderful place to have a nice brunch or dinner.
