Succotash PRIME is a progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award winner Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern Steakhouse menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified, and passed from generation to generation for centuries. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

My girlfriend and I dressed to impress for the evening. Drinks at the Waldorf Astoria then a short cab ride to Succotash. We knew we had made a bad decision before we opened their front door. Upon entering we were met by bad loud music, a reservation time they could not honor and poorly dressed tourist talking loud. We were told, not asked, to stand in a small crowded space while we waited for a table - disrespectful. We stayed and were seated at a nice booth. The staff were likable and informative. But it didn't make up for the lousy atmosphere. We could hear the hand dryers in the bathrooms while we ate. Yes, it was gross as it sounds. We never felt comfortable or like we were in a luxury restaurant. Such a disappointment. We won't return or recommend this place. .

We went to Succotash for a birthday dinner and couldn’t have asked for more! Our server, Phyllis, was amazing and made suggestions that enhanced our experience. We ordered the Taste of the South tasting menu and it did not disappoint! For $60 per person, the tasting menu is the perfect way to try some of the menu highlights. I will be back for the smoked wing with Alabama white sauce.

Every item we ordered from cocktails to dinner was incredible. Our highlights included the smoked wings, the fried green tomato salad, the cornbread, the chicken and waffles, and the shrimp and grits. I couldn't recommend this restaurant and these food items more. You won't regret coming. Plus, the service was great too!

This place is amazing, however, I had the unfortunate experience of someone in my party being a vegetarian. There wasn't much to choose from, which was surprising. All the food is amazing though! Just something to be aware of.
