Michelin Starred Stubborn Seed is the result of pairing unrelenting passion with an unapologetic approach. It aims to unearth cravings of the palate while constructing a reward in each bite. This philosophy takes honest ingredients and elevates them. At the helm is 2022 James Beard Award Semi-Finalist and Bravo’s Top Chef Season 13 Winner, Chef Jeremy Ford. In 2022, Stubborn Seed was awarded one Michelin star in the highly coveted inaugural Florida guide.


Stubborn Seed is a tasting menu only restaurant, with the option of a la carte service or the tasting menu at the bar. Reservations are available for table service and also available for the bar. Dress code strictly enforced as smart-casual. We are unable to accommodate tasting menus for guests following a vegetarian or vegan diet.

A cancellation fee of $50 per person will incur if cancelled within 24 hours of the reservation. On holidays and special occasions, cancellations fees will be $100 per person.

          By far the best restaurant in Miami Beach. The food was exceptional. My GF has worked in two Michelin star restaurants and she was just as impressed as I was. I hope they are around a long time as we will be frequent guests.

          Incredible experience. We are consistently impressed by the combinations, flavors, and thoughtfulness that goes into each course. A must do in Miami.

          Food was incredible. Excellent variety and pairings of flavors. Loved that the house and kitchen staff were all featured by name on the menu. House staff was extremely attentive and the overall experience was phenomenal. Highly recommend Stubborn Seed.

          I sat at the bar and enjoyed the chef’s menu. The cocktail I had was very unique with dried flowers in a honey candy adorning the side. The food was truly delicious. I loved everything I tried. The restaurant is definitely deserving of the Michelin star. The service was excellent. The music was also really great. There were special little thoughtful details along the way. A wonderful choice for a special meal. Thank you!

          Exceptional experience. The flavors popped. The portions were just right so that you were full at the end, but not overwhelmed so you could still enjoy desert.

          This was our second time visiting Stubborn Seed with the first being in 2022. We've dined at many restaurants - from 3 stars down to hole in the walls - and this was a bit of a letdown. It didn't feel nearly as good as it did in 2022. The coursing timing was far off even though there was an army of cooks in the HOH. The restaurant wasn't busy but the staff sure made it feel like it was. The food was good with a couple highlights, i.e. the snapper/curry dish and the duck confit schnitzel. Didn't like how the manager assumed we were visiting or that he assumed we'd never been there before. He should spend some time in some Meyer restaurants and I don't mean Shake Shack. Really this was more of a 3 star (not Michelin) experience but couldn't bring myself to do that to Grove Bay. I hope Stubborn Seed can get it together or this will end up being yet another Miami restaurant closure.

          This is by far the best restaurant and experience in Miami. Every dish that came out blew our minds it was our anniversary and everyone wished us a happy anniversary I was so so pleasantly surprised we’ve done almost all the Michelin star restaurants in Miami and this was another level and experience. Wow

          A truly fantastic experience! Starting from the ballet-like movements of the chef’s crew, visible from the show kitchen, to the passionately executed flow and table presentation of Arturo and the FOH battalion. And yet, the theatricality of the evening was brilliantly complemented by the exquisite flavors of every single heavenly bite. Bravo!
