Join us this October as Story Cellar proudly takes part in the esteemed London Restaurant Festival. Indulge in our curated 3-course menu showcasing steak frites and much loved brown butter brulee. Available exclusively for lunch Tuesday through Friday or for an early dinner from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Kindly note, a discretionary 13% service charge will be applied to your bill.

The food is delicious. Best chicken and chips...ever... you can tatse that brine...the slow cook and then the beautiful roasting. Do it well, keep it simple. Crisp fires, light fresh salad. It's all deceptively straightforward. But, don't be fooled there's love and care in it all. The unpretentious nature of the place is a joy...and the decor is elegantly restrained. My only query is...are there enough options? It felt a little like the signature dish was the best, most obvious choice...could there be something else? I'd like to see more of those side dishes, for example, because that mushroom dish was so thoughtful and skilful. Defo worth a visit. A lovely place, great chefs, friendly staff and good price for that mega high quality.

Lovely place and the quality of the food is good but… 1) when I’ve booked the description on the seat was standard but when we arrived they gave us a high stool. I do believe this needs to be specify in the booking option especially because they are not comfy and dinner experience changes completely! Not sure why we couldn’t have a table as it’s just up to them to decide! 2) 1 scallop… really?! Non need to add anything here! 3) wine list very long but nothing exciting, usual wines you can find in London! Happy we tried but no enthusiasm or excitement to go back!

Lovely vibe in the restaurant! But food a disappointment as just not good enough for the price charged.

The food was delicious with the exceptions of the bread and "house charcuterie", both of which lacked flavour. Portions were on the small side for the prices. Food was not well synchronised coming out of the kitchen, e.g. 3 starters were served and 6 minutes later the final starter arrived; sides were served minutes before the mains arrived. The wines ordered were lovely but expensive; there were not enough reasonably priced wines available.

The food is always amazing at Story Cellar! This time didnt disappoint. The staff are always welcoming and friendly; make you feel at home. I was dining alone on this occassion and a number of the team took time to have a chat (i was in for early dinner and it wasnt too busy). The counter is perfect if you're dining solo you have a front row seat to the action in the kitchen.

Sooo delicious and underrated. Simple but elegant. We loved every single thing we ate.

Incredible food at an incredible place!! Had Roast twice before and it was amazing, but was convinced by the head chef to come back to try their steak, and it did not disappoint! The meat quality was like no other in London, and it melted in your mouth. Everything we have ever tried has been phenomenal, and the staff are so friendly and knowledgable. Can’t wait to go back

Keep returning to this gem. Food is exquisite. Stellar service. Shout out to front of house Cora who goes out of her way to make the dining experience extra special, an asset to an already incredible team.

Perfect for a date night meal, lovely ambience and impeccable courteous service. The food was delicious especially the steak frites ! We sat at the window table and even though it was out looking the street it was still perfect. Recommend to everybody
