I want to start off with a positive note and say that our server was delightful. She was very friendly and checked in regularly. Now to the parts that weren’t so great. We were celebrating an anniversary which I alerted them to ahead of time and we got seated right beside the hostess stand so there was traffic during the whole meal. I started off by ordering a bottle of what was listed as “champagne” on the menu but after it was poured and I was able to taste it and look at the label, we found that it was actually a Prosecco sparkling wine. I would not have ordered that particular bottle if it had been listed correctly, as I do not prefer the sweetness of Prosecco. Next we ordered pretzel bread service.. which was actually just microwaved pretzel sticks that weren’t even warm inside. We both ordered steaks, my husband’s looked delicious while the favorite part of my meal was my loaded baked potato. I will suggest if ordering dessert that you ask for a description of the item first as that was my mistake. I ordered a strawberry shortcake cheesecake which I just assumed was a cheesecake but in reality it was strawberry cake with flavorless icing and a thin layer of a cheesecake as a cake filling. Thankfully that was comped for our anniversary. The check was just way too high for the quality. Might have had a better chance if we just went for burgers or something easy.

One week ago, I had what I can only describe as the best steak (filet) of my life (50+). I told many people about it and returned with 2 friends this week excited to experience it again. Sadly, this time it was one of the worst steaks I’ve ever eaten. I took one bite, and told the server that it tasted ‘off’. It tasted like bad meat to me. She offered to prepare a new steak, but I didn’t want to wait so I passed and just enjoyed conversation with my friends. I suggested the chef check for himself to confirm it was bad, in case they had a bad batch of meat. I was surprised that at no time did a manager come by to enquire about the steak after I brought it to the attention of the server. When getting ready to pay for the meal, I asked if the chef had checked it for himself, and she said he had, and thought maybe they had let it cure too long, and that he found it to be ‘off’ as well. I’m just very disappointed that I could have two polar different experiences within a week of each other, and that there was zero follow up from the server or management after raising the concern about the meat. To their credit, I didn’t ask for any favors, but they mentioned upon bringing the bill that they weren’t going to charge for an appetizer we had ordered.

We waited 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and acknowledge us. When our food came out, it was not really hot. My husband ordered the Bruchetta Chicken and we actually stopped on the way home for food because it was such a small portion. This is our 3rd time here and it was good the previous times but last night was horrible. Don’t think we will be back.

One of the most HORRIBLE dinners I have ever experienced last night! 8/24/25 We were seated right next to a group of 30+ diners who SHOULD have been placed in a separate room. This group was SO LOUD that we could not hear each other at dinner at all. I could not WAIT to get out of there. We asked the server to please ask the group to be quieter, and he said he told the manager, but the manager said he was not going to say anything to the group. I do not ever write a bad review, but honestly, I cannot stay quiet about this ruined dinner experience. Poor management on all fronts. This group was so unbelievably boisterous and rude and for that reason, I will never go back to Stonewood Grill & Tavern. They totally took over that portion of the restaurant and did not have any consideration for the people eating next to them. Unbelievable that management would allow that scenario in their establishment.

As always, everything was great. Upon entering I/we were greeted warming by the front desk and as usual a good hug from Manager, Denny. He sat us at a quite table (away from the bar) as requested. Angela, was busy, but attentive, and greeted us with her warm friendly smile.
